“Hello? Who’s this?” I smiled upon hearing the familiar voice greet me on the phone.

I hear a shuffling at the end of the line and when I heard nothing after that, I thought that she hanged up. But I heard her voice again after a few minutes. it was a little pitch higher than earlier.
