“Grandpa, what’s happening to you?” asked the child named Jose to his grandfather.
His grandfather was a fifty years old man and was blind. But even with his condition, Jose hasn’t seen his grandfather go weak. He didn’t even see him getting sick or anything. He was always full of energy and happy. Except now. His grandfather’s complexion was not good, he was sitting on the bed and was just staring into space. He wasn’t even responding to Jose’s calls. Most of the time, the old man would whisper words that Jose’s little mind couldn’t understand.
“Jose, why don’t you go and get something to eat? Are you done feeding your grandfather?” Jose looked back at the door when he heard his mother’s voice.
“He didn’t want to eat. Mom, what should we do if grandpa wouldn’t eat forever?”
