The seventh night part 1
*THE SEVENTH NIGHT*
*PART 1: THE DOOR THAT OPENS AT 3 AM*
The house was cheap for a reason.
Zain found the ad online: "2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom. Rs 8000/month. Behind City Graveyard. Immediate move-in."
He was broke. Jobless. And desperate.
He didn't ask questions.
On his first night, the landlord said only one thing:
"Beta, sleep early. And don't open the door after 2 AM."
Zain laughed. "Why? Ghosts come?"
The landlord didn't laugh back.
*Night 1 - 2:59 AM*
Zain was awake. Scrolling phone.
_Tok. Tok. Tok._
Three slow knocks on the main door.
He checked CCTV on his phone. Nothing. Just darkness.
He ignored it and slept.
*Night 2 - 3:00 AM*
_Tok. Tok. Tok._
This time a whisper came with it.
"Zain... please open the door... it's cold..."
Zain's blood froze. How did she know his name?
He didn't open the door.
*Night 3 - 3:00 AM*
_Tok. Tok. Tok._
"Zain, I know you are awake. I can see your light."
A girl's voice. Crying.
"Please... just for one minute..."
Zain called the landlord. No answer.
*Night 4 - 3:00 AM*
This time the knocking was angry.
_BOOM. BOOM. BOOM._
"YOU PROMISED ME, ZAIN! YOU SAID 7 NIGHTS! TODAY IS THE 4TH!"
Zain had never made any promise.
He looked through the peephole.
Standing outside was a girl.
White dress. Long black hair covering her face.
Barefoot. And behind her... the graveyard gate was open.
*Night 5 - 2:58 AM*
Zain couldn't sleep. He sat with a knife and a Quran.
His phone buzzed. Unknown number.
`Don't open the door on the 7th night.`
`On the 7th night, the door doesn't close again.`
*Night 6 - 3:00 AM*
Silence.
No knocking.
Zain thought it was over.
At 3:05 AM, his back door opened by itself.
The door that led directly to the graveyard.
Footprints. Wet. Leading from the graveyard... to his bed.
And stopping right next to him.
A whisper in his ear:
"Only 1 night left, Zain. The 7th Night."
*Night 7 - Today*
It is 2:55 AM right now.
Zain is writing this on his phone.
_Tok. Tok. Tok._
It has started.
The voice is different this time. Not crying.
Smiling.
"Zain... tonight we complete our 7 nights.
Tonight the door opens... and you come with me."
The doorknob is turning.
If you are reading this...
Don't ever rent a house behind a graveyard.
