Tristan As I rushed the cat to the vet, I was silently saying my prayers. I realized when I got halfway into town that we never found out what exactly attacked the cat. Or whether it was still in the house. I hope Iris is safe. I would never forgive myself if I allowed something to happen to her. Beside me, I heard the cat mewl softly, and the painful sound made my heart hurt. I was definitely a dog person but still, this cat was innocent. And it had good instincts. “Just hang in there little fella. Imma get you to the doc and get you fixed up quick.” I swerved into the parking lot and jumped out of my still-running truck and raced to the door.
