Graham's POV
By the time I reached the office, Janessa was already inside.
I caught only her back. She was striding confidently, Ming Lee slightly ahead of her, heels clicking in purpose.
Janessa didn’t look back. She never did when she was trying to prove something.
Good.
I exhaled, adjusting my cufflinks as I walked past reception like everything in my life was exactly where it should be.
It wasn’t.
I waited until I was in my office before I allowed myself the indulgence.
Cameras.
I told myself it was routine. A CEO checking morning flow. Security awareness. Monday logistics.
That’s what it looked like. What it should be.
