I know they have to be mad. I just left while I could of gone in heat at any moment. I knew I should of stayed. It was probably best. But I didn’t.

I knew I was safe with Gamma. Even if I also didn’t trust Lou myself. Our session was cut short anyways. But training Lou was more than just any training s**t. I enjoy kicking her ass.and she didn’t held down over my title. It felt good to train with her.

My main reason was to scope her, her Alpha, and her pack. I may of not got much with short training. Lou was antsy. When she spoke of her Alpha. It told me something base on her body language. I lay in bed thinking to myself. How the hell am I gonna tell him. All I did was meet Lou with my Gamma and he freaked. He literally held me down to keep me from going. And I’m strong but he was stronger. Took a lot to get out his grip. Meeting Xion was not gonna go well. At first look Travis wanted nothing but to kill Xion. So how can I make him less mad, maybe. Oh maybe?

I looked over at my mate fast asleep. He was passed out when I returned. I stay with Gamma to talk a bit before heading to bed. We drove slow. I figure Malcolm would be waiting. Demanding we talk. I try to not go by his usual spots to get trap in an argument, but I was wrong. I just didn’t expect Travis to be there yet. I wonder when he came to sleep at that time. He’s usually up until a bit later. I really thought it’ll be me asleep in bed when he return. Not the other way around.

I place my hand on him. He didn’t flinch to my touch. I ran my palm down his side and pause near his spine. I move my hand closer and closer down to his member.

I brace myself to just tell him. No way around it. “Xion won’t. Otherwise I couldn’t meet with him later this week.”

His eyes darken. The mood change quick. “What?”

“I already schedule it after my heat. I know it’s bad but he’s press on it. Just something quick. In and out. You know..”

“Fine.” He said as I try to explain myself.

Travis turn away and got out of bed. I was confuse. I thought he will yell. Like last time. I really expected a whole scene out of my mates. But no. Just a, ‘fine’.

“Okay. Well. Gamma will accompany me.” He responds with a quick okay. I was even more confuse now. Why is he not fighting me on this?

A bit annoy and perplex. I get up and walk over to his bedside. He sits down to put on his shoes. I grab his hand. Stopping him.

“I know you don’t need me or any of us. You want to wander around and whatever with whoever.” He huffs. “You just don’t get the feeling of one day you’ll be gone. That this.” Looking me up and down.

I place myself between him. And he holds my waist. I hold both his hands to stay there. “This can be our last. Just say you can deal with Lou and Xion just fine. Then fine. But if anything happens that I don’t like. Anything. Then this calm wolf s**t is over. I’m giving you this one thing. Just this.” He adds.

I read him in and out. This wasn’t easy for him. I bent down and kiss him. He deepen the kiss. My body engulfed all over. I knew how much this meant for him to just fight back all the yelling and all. I really think he enjoys yelling sometimes.

I jump closer to him. “Then we will train. Solo my Alpha. One on one.”

He smiles as he kisses my chin. Making me giggle to his rough beard grinding all over my nice skin. “I won’t go easy my Little Witch.”

“When do you ever?” I wink.

A few days goes by and my heat is no more. I know the boys will be more lenient with me now. They also insist we train together more often too. Learning more tasks that Alphas are more aware of. Allowing me to get into an Alphas head space.

“I enjoy these times with you boys. But Gamma train me in far more ways.” Travis finish wrapping my hands.

“I don’t doubt Gamma’s training. But getting an one on one with the best killer Alpha will help.”

“I get it my Sweet Wolf. Don’t expect anything. Because anything can happen.” I recited to them.

He sighs. Gripping my wrist. His eyes read something was up. “It’s different. Even after days in and out. I fear someone will take you. That my last moment with you will be my last.”

I lift his head to look me deep in the eyes. “I will be fine. Anywhere I go. Besides, I have my own fears about you too.”

“Elizabeth it’s not..” Snapping his head at me.

“No it’s not.” I say as I get in position. “Let’s just move on now. We both have a day ahead.”

He nods and we begin our training. It only last for about an hour and a half. Travis gets a call, ending our session. He already seem frustrated. So I called it. He was not pleased at all. We go shower and dress for the day.

Meeting outside. I wait for my car with Gamma for position. Travis grows worry I see. “This won’t take long. I’m not giving him anything.”

“If Xion touches you..”

I close the space. “I’ll put him on his ass. Just like I did you.” I chuckle.

He bends down to kiss me. Taking my breath away. “Call okay.”

I nod. Gamma calls my name. The car arrivals and we leave. A big knot sworn in my belly. And it wasn’t my own worries. Times like this I wish I can mind-link them. Send them a less worry sign. Anything to reassure them.

“I won’t be long. Alpha Xion is just a waste of time. You know that.” I try to connect through our bond. But I see it didn’t do much.

“So I don’t have to cancel dinner to go kill him?” I chuckle and kiss his cheek. I knew he meant it but I brush it off.

“No, no. Connie will be here before me. So please. Be nice and for the love of Goddess. Don’t let her and Mason start shit.” I huff.

“No alcohol. I got it.”

Just then Gamma and I head out to Alpha Xion pack. As soon as we arrive we are bowed and escorted down the long hall to Alpha Xion’s office.

“Just Luna.” A Delta says with his hands up.

“That’s fine.” I turn to Gamma to nod. She gave me a look but I reassure her. “This will not take long anyways.”

Gamma steps aside. Taking a stand near by. I enter the room alone. I stay by the door as it closes behind me. I look over my shoulder. And a male voice brings my head forth.

“Welcome my dear Luna. Oh how I have miss..” As Xion has begin his act I stop him.

“This trip was call for a meeting not your delusions. What’s the meaning of this?”

Xion chuckles. Standing up to meet me. I walk forth. Stopping as I reach the table.

“I needed you.” He looks me up and down. “Your help Luna. My men have gone sick. Your sister has flowed her grounds with poison. We need your help. Won’t you stay and nurture us?” He asked me.

“I saw no illness or smell any. You lie.” I grunt. He hums to me. Not admitting his lies.

I smile as I walk around him. Taking the seat he once sat on. “Even if what you say was true. You cross over the river when you shall not. And if so, I can not help you. Contract states you stay off Luminis side of the river.” I take his cup fill with some kind of liquor. Drinking it as he smug at me.

“Well, well. Can’t get pass you now can we.” Less of an question.

I wave the cup up. Requesting a refill. He walks over to fill it. Xion does not sit but stands near me.

“Beside. It was just a new Delta who wasn’t aware of the change. He will live. Just a few rashes on his sides.”

I take the cup and swirl it around. Smelling it. “Mmh.” I put the cup down and stand. I now look him up and down. Waiting.

“But I also call for another reason.” He exhale quick.

I raise my eyebrows as my arms cross my body.

“I wanted to dine in with you. Have a more private chat without your mate.” He steps close and bites down on his lip. “Your Gamma can dine too if she pleases. I do enjoy a threesome.”

“Alpha Xion. If your sole reason for calling me here was nothing more than a feast or foible. I would of not come.”

“I imagine you bend over.” He winks as he pats the table. Keeping that dark lust look in his eyes.

I get close to him as he looks into my eyes. My dark red eyes. “Let me make this clear or else.”

“If you waste my time anymore I will strip you down nude. Chain your neck to a pole and have you hang before your people.” I growl. “I am not amuse by you. Nor do I have the time to come far just to remind your child play AGAIN.”

He steps back as he reads I don’t lie. Quickly it is change with a grin. “You may still change your mind once you see what I have for you.”

“I am not doing this again. If it has nothing to deal with what we argue upon. Don’t. And I mean. Don’t request my presences again.” My eyes flash back at him. He nods. I see his lust turn to fear.

This pleased me.

Xion chest drops. As I hear the blood pumping fast in his body. “I call for a warning. Won’t it pleased you?” I search him up and down. He chuckle as I straighten my back. “There has been so many words. Your name has been spoken highly my dear. But I warn you. Your looks won’t save lives. Maybe we can arrang..”

“No!” I shouted at him.

I was losing my patients with him. Xion kept thinking he can rope me in some sick game of his. But I am not those Lunas. Nor girl.

“As we discuss before, this is not an alliance. We are not friends or whatever more you may think. Don’t twist our contract Alpha Xion. The rumors are not new nor do they faze me.” I bend over to whisper into his ear. Knowing his grin has widen. “However. Once again. You seem to be useless.”

I try to leave but he grabs for my arm. My eyes turn red. I see a glimpse of fear as he peels himself away.

“I make promise you will enjoy yourself with me. And anyway constructed. All my guest are always pleased walking out. We can do good dirty things together.”

I blew air, “doubtful.” I mutter at him as I walk out quick as he shouts his sweet return for me soon. I ignore his comments as Gamma and I leave the grounds.

As we drive off Gamma’s belly growls. “Thank Goddess you didn’t take long. I started to get hungry. AGAIN.” She chuckles.

“Sorry. If I knew how useless driving here would be, I wouldn’t of come.” From now on I would only be taking calls. No more face to face conversation unless needed so.

“I figure. Was there anything needed to be reported?”

I tell Gamma the small useless interaction with Xion was. She rolls her eyes at the ideal of him even thinking he can persuade me to an affair.

“Well for my forgiveness. I will buy you a burrito for the drive.”

Gamma expression loosen in high. “Oh my Goddess. The baby was just asking for one.”

I chuckle at her comment. “And I ask the packs chief to cook a beef brisket for dinner today.”

Gamma purrs in delight. Seeing how excited she is to eat. “No pork right? Because I can’t stand the smell of uncooked or cook pork for some reason.”

I shake my head. “No Gamma. No pork.”

After a few hours we finally made it back home. Gamma ate her two large burritos. Bringing one for her mate. Looking at the time. I knew everyone should be gather around. Hungry. And waiting for Gamma and I to arrive.

We walked into the pack house. Following the noise coming to our ears. Down the two separated halls. We turn to walk down the entrance steps. Leading us into a small room where everyone was seated or standing around.

At first sight. You see Connie with a glass. And her starting up a story about Mason. I can only assume as he throws his head back, he’s muttering words while everyone else laugh about the story she tells.

“Well I see someone got my girl drunk before the host arrive.” Announcing Gamma and I’s arrival.

Everyone smiles and walks up to us. Hugging and smiling. Travis gave me a deep peck on the lips. Swinging his arms around my waist. I lay my hand on his chest.

“I thought I say no drinking for Connie. When her stomach is empty she gets silly.”

Travis opens his mouth to explain but Connie jumps in. “No one would make me a drink. A girl had to serve herself. So sue me for getting comfy while you ladies left me here to deal with 3 men. All they do is talk video games, farts, and pack s**t. I needed a drink or two.”

I take her glass. While she tries to take a large sip. “Dinner should be ready in a little. No slippy Connie until after.”

She huff and waves me off as she takes her seat next to Mason. Mason pushes her to get some space. Starting a shoving war.

I hold Connie’s cup in my hand as I smile at the view of my new growing family. Travis quickly runs his nose over my neck. Sniffing me.

“Did he touch my witch?”

I don’t make a flinch at his question. “No.”

Just then. The chief calls to let us aware the food was ready. We cheers and headed towards the dining room. Connie jumps in excitement. Ready to stuff herself. And Gamma was drooling at the near sight of everything.

Taking all our seats. I tap my glass to grab everyones attention. Just one glance over looking each and every one of them. The pure look they gave me was different. New and I was unsure of. I adore all these people in such a special way. And as I keep them in my heart. I can’t help but think the moral part I have in all their lives. And how affected they have been in mine.

“I just wanted to thank all of you for making the time to joining Travis and I today.” My mate places his hand over mine. “With all that is still coming. You folks have done nothing more than keeping me forward. My soul goal in life since this new chapter that I have been given, is to ensure everyone is safe, loved, and happy. Some of you are aware of how far I will go just for that goal. The others will see that I am willing to lose whatever it is for it.”

Travis squeezes my hand and I look down at his sweet brown swirl of romance eyes. Giving me goose bumps.

“I want you to know that when I take this new step. A very big step. I will stop at nothing to make sure we continue to have moments like these together. And one day. In hopes of Moon Goddess, Sun God, and anyone else. We can fill this table with more family. Whether they’re coming mates, friends, little ones, or pet turtles.” Everyone laugh at my little comment. “I love you guys. You are the family I was always meant to have.” I added.

And I will always protect them. Even from cursed monster as myself.

“And we love you Luna Liv. You don’t know how much you impact on us all. Even before all this.” Connie adds with her arms rising. I kid you not. Connie enjoys being around here. Before she didn’t want to come to some pack house. But now she’s excited to visit and I’m happy to have her here.

“Having you as simple as a friend, sister, boss or others words.” Mason smiles at Travis who smug at him. “We are grateful for you and all you will do in the future. I’ve always knew you’ll do great things Liv. Your parents will be so proud of you. I just know it.”

A small itch of my heart ache at the mention. Mason’s speech was ever so sweet. But as I recall of all my fears of accomplishments and more. They have nothing but goodness to say to me. So I know what is said is true.

“May we all soak in the basket of life. To having a villa such as ours.” Travis says.

Everyone cheers and spoke their own words. Starting loads of chats and laugher all around. Even little disagreements. But how amaze I was at the bless I have to endure something like this. Just this small dinner has boost my desire as a Luna more than ever now. So many tasks storms in my mind.

Time has gone by as we all finish eating. The staff has gone around and cleared the table. Connie and I mention a fresh meal the next time around. Gamma offer to helps with dessert. The boys cheers to just sitting around and drinking. Us girls scowled but ignore the men for being men.

As we all capture in the day. Travis gets a call. His expression changes quick as he stood up fast. I sense him in Alpha mood quick. As do Mason, Kan, and Sarah.

“Got it.” Travis said before hanging up. His face grew long and very straight.

“What’s wrong?” I can only assume.

He huffs some air before responding. “That was Forest Grave’s Beta. They’re under attack.”

In seconds the whole table stood up and strive to leave. I nod and turn to Connie. Suggesting she waits here and safe with Gamma . But my Alpha mate stops me mid sentence.

“No. You and Connie are staying here with Mason on guard.”

I frown my brows in confusion. “What no!”

“Yes Elizabeth.”

“The hell I am! I can help. And if you have forgotten I’ve been in this position before.” I stated.

I see the fury in his eyes grew at every word. “Times are different now. Forest Grave will survive with all the other packs help.”

“So you’re suggesting a witch or me of all people should sit back and clean up while you fight for one of our alliances?” I said with a stern look at him.

“I’m not arguing with you right now. Just stay here. And I mean it this time.” He steps close to me as I feel the heat off of him. His heart beating out his chest.

“I can’t do that.” I said. I match his rising tone. Not caring we’re not alone.

He rubs my arms down but I push him off. I see him on edge to explode. But hell so am I. “They are not worth your need. Nor do I want to see you out there at this time while anything can happen. They have enough help. So enough of your frowning and stay with Mason.”

“Mason needs to go too not..”

“I am Alpha here Elizabeth. I make the calls on who goes and who doesn’t. For once obey right now. With all this s**t we got going on. I need Mason to keep you here. So Goddess have it if I sense you out there you will lose all solo privilege for as long as I live!”

I see Malcolm flare his nose along with Travis. He agrees on my stay. No matter how bad I want to argue and convince them to let me go. I see they mean it. I didn’t want to prolong this fight anymore. I wasn’t going to win but waste time.

“Obey?” I mutter in anger. “Like a good Luna, wife, a pet huh?”

“I am forbidding you from leaving the house and grounds! Don’t make me lock you up in our room!” He says this in spite.

I say nothing but snarl at my mate.

“Elizabeth for f**k sakes. Just stay indoors. I’m not arguing with you anymore.” He grips my chin and leans in slightly. “I am not asking you.” Searching him. He pleads.

I cross my arms and stomp my feet slightly. “I’m not making any promises nor will this talk end.”

He scoff as his hand runs through his hair. “This is not the time my Little Witch. Just listen this once.”

“Liv I need your hand. I’m afraid and the witches may need you.” Connie says. I turn in questions. Seeing her eyes widen. I question my motive.

“See. Stay put.” My mate says.

Again I try to speak but Mason runs up behind me. Grabbing my shoulders. “Just stay here this time Liv. Black Harvest needs you here.”

I look around the room. Reading all the expressions of my love ones. I slightly nod to my defeat.

With my head still turn. I say my last words. “Don’t die for that asshole. And don’t make me..”

Travis grips my chin to face him. Kissing me deeply. I decline his tongue an entrance. “You’ll be safe here until my return. We love you.”

I whisper my own sweet words back to him. Travis begins ordering orders and everyone leaves. My head still couldn’t wrap all this in my mind. Mason should go. Connie doesn’t need babysitting. And I am sure hell am not staying here the whole damn time.

Mason moves Connie and I to the living room. I try listening to any noises around. For all I know. Alpha Baker can just be lying.

My stubbornness grew more as the silent kills me. And seeing Mason mind-links out , all while Connie seems unborthed. Something seems utterly off. And the urge to go to Forest Grave was needed.

“Beta stay with Connie I’m meeting Alpha..”

In a second Mason grabs me. Making me stop my motive. “Liv no! You heard him.”

“And when do I ever listen to him bossing me around?” I declared.

Mason shook his head. And I can see Connie in fright behind. “Liv he’s Alpha. He gave direct orders. He’s not alone out there. This isn’t like last time. Just stay here.”

“Come sit with me. Let’s watch a movie.” Connie suggested.

My jaw drop at their odd displace. The both of them were acting strange. My head snaps back. “Both of you are mad. You stay and I’lll go.”

“Liv no stay!” Connie calls.

I go to turn my back, hearing Connie’s plead. “Make some popcorn and watch whatever Connie. Drink but I’m needed w..”

Out of nowhere I was stab in the neck. I flip back with my eyes burning red. Pinning my attacker to the closest wall. My eyes widen and deflates when I see Mason in my grips.

I held my hand on my neck. Pulling the syringe out. Looking at him bewilded. “Mason what the..”

“I had to Liv. Sorry.” Mason’s apology was the last words I heard before everything went dark.

My last thought?

Why on earth did Mason do this to me? Why did Connie not help? I knew something was off. Still, why?
