The time to finally take Elizabeth to meet one of my favorite person is here. I’d been wanting to take her for a while. But there has always been something keeping us away. But in the outcome of how our life is right now. I think it’s the best time to go.

I hide a red face. As I gesture Elizabeth to come towards. I wrap my arms around her waist now. “Grandfather. This is the outstanding mate of mine. Elizabeth.”

Her hand reach out to him. “Hello it..”

“It is my greatest honor to have you here Luna.” He bows.

“It’s an honor to meet Travis’s grandfather. I thought no relative was alive until today.”

He gave me a hard strain look. I look away blankly. “Well that’s because we rarely spoken in a year. And I’m only remotely his great-grandfather.” Elizabeth shock at his news. He loves telling people he ages well. “Enough of this. Let’s sit.”

Moments go by as we all sit and talk about the year. Nonno spoke of his years as Alpha. The hardship and broken rules that become known. The civil war he was in before he took over, set his name. I raise my voice a bit to stop him. “There will always be rumors. There were some before we met. Some during and some will continue. We don’t take any to heart. People will talk and..”

“They will breach through.” He intruded. I feel Elizabeth nerves hitch. I rub her back to ease her. “You being a young blood hungry Alpha was one thing. “It is talk. Many, many talk.” Elizabeth shakes her head in fright. She opens her mouth to plead to him. But what he says shocked us.

“But don’t listen. They’re bond to be some crazy people out there. No matter what there’s someone who will hate for many reasons. Don’t bat an eye to them. They all envy you Elizabeth. And you Travis.” He lift his hands up. “Hell! The whole world envies your relationship. f**k them. Am I right?”

We release a nerve laughter. “I’m sorry.” Elizabeth holds her heart.

“For what? Do you two not love each other? I hadn’t receive the ‘save the date’ yet? But by your ring I expect one. And soon.” He said all this so proudly. I didn’t come here to get his approval. But hearing it, it was a refresher.

“Yes. yes, you’ll get it soon.” I tell him.

“Then we are all good.” He calls for a maid. “Drinks, drinks. Allow us to celebrate your love. Shall you two do wonders for your people. And set hellfire to those who come to ruin your empire.” He cheers.

He ask the woman for his whiskey. And she brings three glasses. But then as she pours the third he stops her. “My dismay. I do not want to harness if you soon fertile your womb dear. That’s if you two are trying? A glass may help.” He smug at us both.

I say nothing as we had spoken about kids many times. Mostly leads to a fight.

My spine twitch at the news. Elizabeth says nothing but holds my arm. Trying to calm me down on what’s about to be said.
