Mark POV

" I didn't say cripple him!!" I yelled at Jack who was casually drinking from his mug

" I didn't, he just can't walk for a few days, I paralyzed his legs, but it's temporary, way better than my initial plan" he says with a smirk , I was happy actually at least he wouldn't touch my mate, but still

" What was your initial plan?" I asked

" Poison him with wolfsbane, make him die slowly and painfully, or cut all his limbs off and dump him in the woods" he said remorseless

" What the f**k!, brother that is brutal, I love it, why didn't you do that then?" I asked

" He has a wife, and she's Ruby's sister, so I just broke a few bones and hit a nerve on his legs, now he can't walk for a while" he said feeling dissatisfaction

" Oh, what did you say was your reason" I asked

" I said nothing just beat him up" he said and took another sip, my brother was a man of no words actually so I believed him at this, he joked alot but when he was upset he would kill anyone in his way

" At least he still lives" I said before relaxing my shoulders

" How is she?" He asked" she's doing okay,it's been a week now, so she's better than before, getting her color back too" I responded

" She really is a beauty, I say, she's a keeper brother I want beautiful nephews and nieces" he said

" Maybe" I laugh

" What's it like having a mate?" He asks genuinely

" Funny, your wolf always wants them around and tries to get them without you if you waste to much time" I say and he chuckles

"I bet Rex is hungry huh?" He jokes and my wolf growls inside, he is indeed

" He's a naughty wolf" I respond and my wolf barks at me

' calm down Rex, I'm just joking ' I tell him

"I felt my mate yesterday, but it was just a buzz, wasn't really clear, it could have been something else" Jack said

" Oh, well keep trying you'll find her" I say to him before leaving the office

" Yeah, I hope" he whispered
