The lane was painted a dark color by the weird shadows created on the broken pavement by a single, weakened streetlamp. The rain came down in little waves, adding to the general discomfort of the evening. There was an ordinary apartment building with dark windows in the middle of the city, where bright lights flickered like dying stars. A figure went along the barely lighted corridor inside, carefully, their footfall echoing across the aged wooden boards. There was a palpable sense of impending revelation in the air, as though the walls themselves were alive with secrets. This was the land of wonders where lies and truth danced together so gracefully. The main protagonist, whose name seemed to ring in the back of their minds, stopped in front of a cracked mirror that was hung unevenly on the wall. The rain outside continued to beat down, beating on the window frames with a sound like a thousand shouts whispered at once. However, another storm was building within the flat, one of anxiety and inner suffering. A feeling of fear fell upon them like a thick covering as they stepped inside their bare living room. It felt as though the walls were closing in on them, suffocating and choking. That was then, in the silence of the night, they decided to do something that would lead them, at any cost, to self-discovery. They said into the shadows, "I will discover the mystery of the stranger within, even if it kills me," with a determined sparkle in their eyes. They went into the unknown, not realizing the dangers that might be hiding in the shadows, their commitment hanging in the air like a serious oath. .
