Luca's Plight

"She ran away Diavolo." Luca informed me. "She isn't in her room. She must've escaped through the window without anyone seeing her because sadly, the shutters are open and she left her phone deliberately as a souvenir." He threw the phone on the nearest couch and swiped his hands across his face in utter frustration. "The little she devil."
"I expected her to." Was all he said in response to that statement, shocking him. "It was bound to happen sooner or later don't you think?" He asked before rising up slowly to his feet. He doesn't know why but the little gimmicks and party tricks she just pulled made him a little curious for some reason.
"I mean what would you have done if a strange man showed up in your house and requests that you move in with him unannounced?" He asked but silence met his question.
Diavolo was somewhat thrilled. No woman has ever tried to run away from him before but this one just did and right under his nose for that matter. It took a lot of guts and he'd give her that.
"That's all you're going to say?"
"Pretty much." He breathed out before rising up to his feet. "I expected her to run away a long time ago and I'm only surprised that she chose to do it now. It took guts although she would have to pay for it because i specifically told her not to. She violated my orders and i don't like it."
Releasing his hands from his pockets, he stared back at Luca who was trying to understand if his boss had grown a second pair of head. He just told him that the woman he's hell bent on chasing has ran off on his own and here he was making it seem like it's not a big deal. The Diavolo he knew would've thrown a fit and melted out his anger and frustrations on everybody by now.
"So what do we do?" Luca asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
A small smirk played on his lips. "What you're good at obviously. Find her and bring her back to me." He ordered him before walking out of his presence.
"But she's—"
"Escaped. Has she not?" He cut him mid sentence. "And you've always found everyone who has escaped one way or another have you not? That's your job so do it and alert me immediately you do. She's definitely going to get it from me for running away and that i promise her."
Luca watched his boss leave first. He was torn between actually finding her or telling him the real truth behind who she was so that he leaves her alone. If he doesn't tell him then she might actually be safe and won't get into any problems but if he does tell him then he can't guarantee her safety due to what she might go through in his hands. It's a two way thing and choosing one would mean lying to his boss whom he has been serving for a long time now while the other would mean protecting someone he doesn't even know which might cost him his life should in case his boss ever found out about it.
"I want you to search for a Miss Reya Adams." He ordered the rest of the guards awaiting his instructions. "If she escaped then there's a ninety nine percent chance that she went to meet her or is probably hiding somewhere close to her. Either ways, she's her best friend so she'd definitely know where she's hiding."
"Find out where she frequents, her boyfriend, his job, track her phone...just do everything." He added with a deep intake of breath before walking away and leaving them to follow.
He can't believe that she had dragged him into this mess. This is why you never bring an child into a children's game. What does Diavolo see in her anyway? Why is he so hell bent on getting her when he could literally get any woman in the world without even lifting a finger? Why does it have to be her of all people?
"s**t!" He cursed out loudly before stepping into the car to drive for home.

"Don't worry, he's not going to find us over here." Reya said to Sierra for the umpteenth time that night. She was practically living by the window now, peeking through the curtains at every sound she heard or at the tiniest squeak that would seemingly put her life in danger.
"We're far away from your house and it would take a miracle before he even stumbles on this place even by accident." Reya went on, hoping to get her to at least leave the window for a few minutes. She had been glued to that spot ever since they finished dinner.
She noted that her mind was not at rest and that she was very scared. This was the second time she would see Sierra this scared. The first was when she saw her cry over her sister because she thought that she wouldn't survive and now, this.
"That's the thing Reya." She blinked furiously. "He makes even the most impossible miracles come true. He followed me to my house even without tailing me, he knew about my sister's condition and my financial situation without me telling him about it. I feel like he has eyes everywhere around the city and that he might just show up here unannounced."
"I know how much you guys risked to keep me safe and the fact that my decision to run away might put you all in danger is what frightens me Reya." She admitted sadly.
"I don't know if i should classify him under the word 'stalker' because that's what he is." She blurted out in a panicked state.
"Hey, calm down." Reya reached for her hands to hold them. "I get it that you're scared. We all are and that's why we have to be positive about this. I'm scared too but i can't show it because it'll put you in a state of distress and if you're stressed then it won't really be helping matters would it?"
Sierra shook her head negatively in response.
"Good. So stop stressing about it. We'll do everything in our power to keep you safe and that's a promise. You just have to trust that everything would be alright okay?" She requested and Sierra nodded her head in understanding.
"Come here." She opened up her arms and Sierra walked into them, resting her head on the bridge of her shoulders for comfort.
"He won't get to you, i promise." She whispered as she stroked her head gently to calm her down but at the back of her head, Sierra knew that it was almost impossible. He will definitely find her. It's just a matter of when and how.
