Sierra groaned deeply when the second wave of migrane pulsated through her veins that morning which reminded her of her reckless drinking last night. Her lips were halfway parted as she tried her best to squint her eyes closed when the warm rays of the sun seeped through the curtains of the bedroom and hit her face through the covers. She mumbled incoherent words in her unconscious state as she gathered the covers. Turning to the other side of the bed, she slowly opened her eyes to take in her surrounding. That's when it hit her that she wasn't in her bedroom. Her eyes darted to the clock in the bedroom she realized that it was soms minutes past twelve. How did she sleep for so long?
She jerked awake in an instant, pushing the covers off the upper part of her body as her eyes wandered round the classy and majestic suite that she has been sleeping in.
"W-What am i doing here? M-My clothes..." She stuttered when she realized that she was naked under the blanket. Fear crept and built up inside her in a flash. "Where am I? Whose house and bedroom is this? Was I kidnapped and brought here? Why don't I remember anything from last night? What are they planning to do by bringing me here against my will?" These and many unanswered questions roamed through her mind.
She searched for her cellphone and found it lying there on the drawer beside her bed. She picked it up to make a call but the battery was dead. "s**t! What am I going to do now? How am I going to get out of here? What If the person who brought me here is a Mafia, a murderer with evil intentions?"
Whoever he was, she definitely wouldn't stay to find out. She'd find a way to sneak out of here before he arrives. Picking up her clothes, she got out of bed to wear them and that's when she felt a familiar ache between her legs, which restricted her movement. The incident of last night flashed through her memories like a video on replay. She had willingly come here with that masked man. She had bumped into him while she was drunk at the bar and she had even asked him to have s*x with her. She had begged him to. Her hands flew over her mouth as her eyes widened in shock.
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!" She exclaimed. How could she have done something like that? Her sister was in the hospital fighting for her life and here she was, having s*x with strangers. Is this what she has been reduced to?
Lost in her dark hazel world filled with guilt, shame and regret, she jolted back to reality when she heard the sound of indistinct chattering and footsteps. Ignoring the pain in between her legs, she hurriedly wore her clothes and decided to make an escape.
She would definitely get back at Reya for this. She had told her to take her home right after they had dinner but she insisted that they visited Dean at his workplace. She dragged her into this mess and she won't forgive her for it.
Reaching for the door knob of the suite, she peeked through the spyhole of the door only to see muscled men standing there in a single file opposite the room she was held captive in. She had thought that she was dreaming about all this but clearly she wasn't. Who was this man she slept with and what was he doing with so many security? Even her father didn't walk around with this much security when he was still a senator.
Well it doesn't matter if he had millions of soldiers scattered across the room but she would definitely leave this place one way or another. Straightening her dress to iron out the creases, she opened the door with a straight face. They all turned their attention towards her but neither of them said anything to her. Not even a single word.
Deep down in her hearts of hearts, she prayed that no one would stop her, call her back or ask her any questions. She just wanted to get out of here and that was it.
Blinking her eyes ferociously, she ran her hands through the thick waves of her messy red hair. Taking slow and steady strides through their midst, she finally made it to the elevator. She punched some buttons and it gave in. As soon as it opened up, she rushed in and pressed the bottom floor, carefully making her escape.
"Thank goodness!" She gasped out loud. Sucking the air around her greedily. She had thought that they would chase after her but they didn't. Wait! Why didn't they chase after her? Are they planning on coming back for her later?
Her heart did a little somersault at that thought but she tried to swallow her fear back down. There's no way they would come for her. She's a nobody and she definitely didn't mean anything to anyone so they won't come for her.
The elevator dinged open and she quickly rushed out just as she had rushed in. She arrived at the entrance of the hotel and flagged down a cab to take her home. Her whole body was in constant agony. What kind of s*x did she have last night that placed her in this condition damnit!
The cab stopped at her apartment and after getting in, she stripped off her clothes and made a hot bath for herself. Before soaking herself in, she texted Reya to tell her that she was okay and also called in work to take a day off. She was definitely too exhausted to go anywhere. She needed to heal from whatever that man had put her body through.
After her long bath, she made herself some tea and decided to have some rest when she heard her cellphone ring. Without checking the ID, she picked it up and placed it on her ears.
"Sierra? Are you okay? Where are you?" Reya's persistent voice echoed through the speaker of the phone. "I came back with Dean last night and found you gone. We searched everywhere for you but we couldn't find y-you." She sniveled, her voice breaking down with each word she uttered. Reya was just too emotional. She might act all tough on the outside but on the inside, she was just a mushy ten year old.
How on earth does she tell her about what happened last night when she was already this emotional. If she did then Reya would blame herself for everything and she didn't want that.
"It's okay Reya, I'm fine." She assured her. "I took a stroll with a friend and ended up crashing at her place. I would've called to tell you but my battery was dead so i couldn't reach you."
"Thank goodness!" She sighed deeply. "Please don't scare me like that ever again. I was so worried that something bad had happened to you."
"I'm sorry." She apologized with a brief pause and then "Can i call you back later? I'm exhausted and i need to get some rest."
"Of course, take your time. I'll check up on you later." And with that, she disconnected the call. Sierra stared at the blank screen one last time before throwing her phone on the nearest couch. Finding her way to her bedroom, she got under the covers and before she knew it, she drifted off to sleep.
Sierra didn't know how long she slept but when she woke up, it was already late at night. She wrapped her fleece jacket over her naked body and made it out of her bedroom. Just as she stepped foot into the living room, she spotted someone seated comfortably on her couch with one leg crossed over the other as he flipped through a magazine in the dark. Her eyes widened in shock when she realized that he heavily guarded as well. Fear crawled up her gut and rested there. Could it be the same man from the hotel? What was he doing here? How did he find out where she lived?
"W-Who are you?" She stuttered as she slowly approached him. Or was she dreaming again? She has to be dreaming right? This was her subconscious playing games with her. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
He discarded the magazine with a flick of his wrist and finally regarded her presence in the room. "You're finally awake. Good. Because i was beginning to think that you were dead."
Was that supposed to come off as a humour because if it was then she wasn't finding it funny to say the very least. His expression was cold and it sent shivers down her spine.
Straightening himself on the couch, he fixated his gaze on her. "We meet again Miss Sierra Delavine and i believe that you already know who i am." He added, daring her to say otherwise.
