Diavolo gently tapped on the keys of his grand piano. He listened quietly to the melodic sound it produced as it filtered through the empty space of his music room. His eyes were closed and his head was laid back as he drowned himself in the soulful music that came as a result of his unwavering talent.
Her face. Her hair. Her tiny figure. Damn, the way she moans. The way she was straddled underneath him, asking him to go on, to not let go, to push further. His brain kept on replaying those scenes from last night and for once, he wasn't irritated. If anything, he basked himself with every thought of her.
It wasn't supposed to end up with him craving her again. It was supposed to be a one night stand. He was supposed to forget about her after that night like he always does but why wasn't he trying to forget? Why does the word 'forget' sound unpleasant and abominable in his ears?
He doesn't have time for this so why was he giving it time? He had been up in this house ever since he got back because he didn't want to forget.
Luca stood at the far end corner of the room as he watched his boss quietly without uttering a single word. He had come to give him update on an important information that he had asked of him only to walk in on him playing the piano so he had no other choice but to wait patiently.
His boss had been in this mood ever since he came back from the hotel this morning. He didn't know exactly what to make out of this sudden behavior of his. The more he thinks about it, the more it baffled him.
He had always known that whenever his boss was in this mood, he was either calculating or trying to block out thoughts from his head but why does he feel like there's something more to this new attitude. Sometimes he wondered what sort of mind he had because it never ceased to amaze him. He might be his consigliere but he was definitely the mastermind.
Diavolo strung on the last key that finally put an end to his music session for that morning. The maid standing next to him offered him a glass of water and he took it from her grasp before drowning all the contents in one gulp. He returned the glass and she took it as her cue to leave as she scampered out of the music room.
"Did she left the hotel already?" Diavolo inquired, closing the piano as he straightened himself on his seat. He had left the hotel quite early because he didn't want to startle her when she woke up or have her rain insults at him for something that she had clearly asked him to do.
"Not quite long ago." Luca answered from his spot.
"And the guards?" He asked again, still not facing him.
"They did as you instructed." He said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "They guarded her room and waited for her to leave before they exited the hotel. No one stopped her or said anything to her as well."
"Good. Do you have all the information i need?" He asked abruptly. Luca nodded his head as though Diavolo could see him. Diavolo gestured at him and he approached him with some papers and handed it over to him to take a look.
"Her name is Sierra Delavine. She's twenty years old and works in a small editing company." Luca went on to give him further information of his findings. "Her parents are divorced and her sister is currently admitted in the hospital where she is awaiting surgical treatment. The other file contains the names of her friends that she shares close relations to, her contact information as well as her home address."
Diavolo flipped through the pages of the file that had been offered to him. His eyes taking in every single detail of the information that was printed out on the paper. Sierra Delavine. Her name sounded just right. Exactly the way he had pictured it. Just like he had imagined it.
"May i ask why you asked for all of this, boss?" Luca asked. His question earned him a knowing look from his boss. Many people would either tremble at his wild gaze or hide back but he was used to all sides of him now. He had learnt to accommodate any look that he would give to him. He could as well tranform into the spitting image of the devil and he still wouldn't be moved.
"I want her." Came his earnest reply. Luca only nodded at his words. If he didn't know any better, he'd say that Diavolo was joking but no, he wasn't at all. His boss doesn't mince words. He says them as they come to mind which is a clear indication that he was being as serious as hell.
"She's the one I've been searching for so i have to get her." His mind played back to the wild night they both shared in that hotel. He couldn't believe that she was twenty and yet she was able to take him in that manner. No woman had ever attempted such suicide mission. She was the woman he was looking for. The woman who could handle him and take all his demons. He might be two times older but who cares? She was definitely his for the taking.
"You do realize that she's a person right?" Luca arched a brow at him. Usually he would get offended by that statement but he wasn't. "You can't just want her and get her without her consent. She has to agree to it. You can't force her to boss. For goddess sake, she's a young adult and you know it too."
"Whatever you're planning to do, I'd advise that you let it go or give it a second thought. There are other women available and at your disposal as well." Luca advised him. He had his reasons why he didn't want his boss to go after that woman and as much as he wanted to tell him, he couldn't because he doesn't know how to. All he knows that whatever he's planning to do might end up being a recipe for disaster.
"Are you trying to stop me Luca?" Diavolo asked with furrowed brows. "Is there a reason why you're trying to stop me?" His voice had taken a different note. He was starting to get upset.
"Not at all boss." He answered almost immediately.
"Good." Diavolo blurted out of the blue. "Get the car ready. Let's pay little miss Sierra Delavine a visit now, shall we?" He asked with a forced smirk on his face.
