The Peanut Gallery

After a devastating nuclear war wipes out most of the planet’s population, small pockets of people, mostly orphaned children, live stranded in tiny towns and communities dotted across the land. One of these is Wurrenna, where most of the children live in the ruin of a huge theatre, run by the abusive but cunning Titus, who directs plays enacted by the orphans. These plays give the neighbouring towns hope and the orphans receive food and supplies in return for twisted entertainment. One day, Magnus and Finn, two desperate brothers with fractured memories and a mercenary on their tail, come across the theatre and are welcomed by Titus and his mischievous cast of orphans, all named after a Shakespearean character. All is seemingly safe for the time being, but Magnus can’t shake an uncomfortable feeling of unease, almost as if every move he makes is being watched.

That’s when everything begins to collapse.

One morning, two orphans are found murdered and mutilated in their beds.

A very sinister shadow starts to cross the dilapidated stage, and ever so slowly, things start going terribly wrong. As the plays begin to manifest themselves in alarming ways, Magnus not only tries to unearth the killer, but also discover what happened to his memories and survive in the cut-throat world of Wurrenna.
