Abigail takes a deep breath. It was hard to take in and absorb everything that she just learned about the world. She calms her mind as she puffs. She feels weaker than she was earlier, partly because of the weighing obligations she has in her back now. Laurence rubs her back to comfort her, “You can enjoy this world right now. I can feel the sudden drop of mood in you. I hate to break all of this to you, but it’s something crucial for our survival and the possible freedom we can get from all of this. Even I want to not say all of this to you and make you feel everything is in your hands right now, I can’t. It’s the truth, the fate of every individual here in this simulated world is in our hands. I know it doesn’t help, but what can I possibly do?” He goes in front of her and looks at her eyes, “I know you are determined to get out of here, but that comes with great challenges. The Gemini will not have mercy if you are weak and squeamish. They will not hesitate to crush your dreams and ruin your plans. You need to be strong for yourself and for us, but importantly, yourself. If you can’t, you can’t survive in this harsh environment.” Abigail looks at him with a much-determined face, “Don’t worry. This will not weaken me. If this is what it takes for all of us to get out of here and get my revenge on those two, I will take it. I was just overwhelmed for a second there.” Laurence smiles, “I know it feels so heavy. It feels like everything you do will affect everything. Which, I know this wouldn’t help at all, it does affect everything. I have been there and I am still in that dreadful place, repeatedly, it never ends. Especially if you been here for a while, had a lot of attempts, and witnessed the worst things possible.” He sighs as he forces a smile, “But, it’ll be worth it in the end, I promise.” He pats her shoulder and gives her a motivation squeeze on it. “You can go back now. The simulation is still running even we are in that room. They might be finding you right now.” Abigail smiles, “Thank you for the enlightenment. It’s been days since I have been so confuzzled and curious about everything.” “These things won’t hide for too long. Besides, I am planning to let you know everything, it’s just it didn’t go well as planned. I am afraid to let the others know until we are ready. As I observed on you, you don’t have to restrain with saying things. I need to knock out that attitude of yours and silence you in some way that’s not harmful or you will not consider as one.” He puts his robe back on, “Once you entered there, you need to be in your character from now on. We will be enemies like they wanted. It helps us to not raise any suspicion. As I said, they are the eyes of those men. We can’t let their files have a memory nor a suspicion level about us working together. The developers don’t have a clue that I am the one who’s sabotaging them. Just be the witch you are and I will be the dark wizard that I am.” “So, I can’t prefer you as Laurence?” She giggles as he snickers, “When we are just alone. I know the Dark Wizard is too repetitive and a bit wordy, but it’ll have to do for now. Also, you don’t need any of your spell books, by the way.” Abigail tilts her head, “Why?” He crosses his arms, “It was just given to you to lead you to the route they need you to go. You know, the lore things they do for their game. The potions, you need the book for, but not for your wand. Brewing has a strict mechanic here. But, since they haven’t fleshed out the magic casting that much, you can go haywire. But, not too much though. Being an overpowered individual and showing that could break your cover as well. They won’t notice that you are just imagining your spells. Besides, they don’t really care unless it’s about us being much more aware of what’s happening and plotting things against them. With the unlimited things and mechanics they are trying to implement, it’s basically just our job to explore and even invent new mechanics, but not too much. Because, when you use them at an uncontrolled amount and in a noticeable pace, it’ll blow our cover. For them, we must not know how overpowered they made us here. We must not know how much control we can have then we are informed of. That’s the reason why I was raised through different elevations of access. We are dangerous individuals for them, Abigail.” “I’ll take note of that. You have overpowered magic and you must not overuse it. Done.” She smiles as he shakes his head playfully, “But, on a serious note, don’t use it too much. Be careful out there and stay low. Our problems with the corrupted aren’t done yet. And, shut your mouth with whatever happened from this side.” “I promise, I won’t say anything. Why would I make it hard for myself to get out of here?” Abigail slowly approaches the tear on the wall of this tunnel. “You can’t come back here until the time has come. I will close up this hole, you will not need this anymore.” She looks at him, “You mean there will be no more secret room meeting?” He sighs, “For now, this was all accidental. You shouldn’t have been there these days. But, I guess I need to have flexible plans. Especially with someone who’s trying to ruin everything in this world. This isn’t the time I planned to tell you all of this. So, you will not be meeting me as Laurence that much.” “How about in my dream? You could always go there.” Laurence shakes his head as a  disagreement, “You have the dreamcatcher. I only infiltrated your dream because I needed to. It’s f*******n in the game mechanics for me to be able to get in your dream with you wearing it. Besides that, it will raise suspicion if you take it off just to talk to me every night.” Abigail thinks and her face lightens up as she thought of an idea, “How about… you can talk to me anytime you needed to. Maybe leave some signs or anything that will signify the urgency of the meeting. Since you said we can do things but not that much, we could take that as our advantage. You won’t have much to talk about every day, right?” He shakes his head as he starts searching for something inside his robe. He pulled a black feather out and shows it to her. “When you see a crow’s feather in the ground, that’s the sign that you need to take off your dreamcatcher for a while. Deal?” Abigail nods as Laurence hides it again under his robe. “I can’t also visit you as much. I think they are planning to have your friends a much better instinct alert when I am around. They will be much alert and more suspicious of the surrounding when they detected some of the things that are linked to me.” He sighs, “This thing gets harder every day.” “Don’t worry, just stick to the plan of the crow feather thingy. It’ll take them ages to notice if something’s wrong nor suspicious. Besides that, they know we are enemies. It can be also a sign of a sinister plan of yours. Crows don’t have a good reputation, especially if it's linked to a dark wizard like you.” Laurence cackles, “Oh well, good luck with your adventure. I’ll observe Garett more and tell you what I have found. That boy really needs help.” Abigail smiles, “See you in a bit of a long while, maybe.” She waves her hands goodbye and she enters the tear in the wall again. She goes out of the circuit tunnel and onto the room she has in the inn. In the matter of coincidences, someone was knocking on her door. She immediately puts back the drawer. Although, as she does that, she witnessed the tear in the wall patches up by itself. She describes it to herself that the particles and glowing lights that patched it up to coincide with the theme of the other side. Abigail smiles as she looks at the door, “I’m coming!” She opens the door that reveals Keeana. “Hi! Did you have a great rest there?” Abigail nods, “Yep, they have some soft mattresses and pillows as well.” The archer enthusiastically claps, “Anyway, let’s get our dinner now. I think you have slept too much again.” Abigail immediately turns to the window of the room. She was a bit surprised at how time moves fast in this world. If she’s right, she has been on the other side in under an hour, under half an hour even. It was just minutes of talking and it’s already night in the simulated world. Unless it really took half a day for Laurence to explain everything to her which is not far-fetched at all. It was so much for her to absorb that it might have taken them a few hours just to discuss it. Or, it’s just how the world works here. It has a faster time interval which she understands, especially when she was still playing this. But, it doesn’t seem that fast. Abigail looks back at Keeana, “Sure! And, I mean, I need to sleep as much as I can. Who knows how many sleepless days we will get when we leave this place to travel yet another ton of miles towards our final destination?” The brunette giggled, “I get your point. Let’s go, you will taste many different delicacies from Halvvilla. Theirs were exotic, so you will get to taste all of the common foods here. Even they are common, they are as delicious as exotic foods and much cheaper to make!” They went downstairs and to the dining hall where all of the travelers, merchants, and her friends are at the same long dining table. Unlike in Halvvilla, with the plenty amount of chairs around, there’s a clear division between the groups. The group of travelers is grouped at the other end of the table, the merchants in-between, and them occupying the other end. There’s also a division of conversation. The travelers were talking quietly with maps in the center of their area, the merchants were loud as if they were in the tavern, and her friends are quietly peeking at them. Abigail took a seat as the creak of the chair she moved shifted all of the attention to her. It was an awkward one. She looks at Lavena who gestured her to continue and ignore them. She takes her seat and looks at the food that was served at the dining table. She can see that the foods that were served to her friends are the ones that are in their area. They didn’t try to get the ones that are far and are in other’s territories. She served herself rather awkwardly. With the noise and loud chatter of the merchants, they didn’t even try to talk to each other unless they have a favor. When the merchants were finished, they had the freedom to talk finally. The merchants were a bit barbaric with how they ate their food and their side was a mess. Catrina was at the edge of their side as she looks at the mess disgustingly. “That was a bit awkward.” Gallant mentioned as they started chatting with each other. Their peaceful dinner was cut off early as people outside scream in terror. “Heroes! We need your help.”
