The Mysterious Forest

2028 Words
Abigail soared through the skies and looks around the city. The wind blows her hair along with the petals that are floating around her. She slowly sits on the flower pad she’s standing on and admired the view that this altitude gives her. She feels peace in her mind and heart as she breezes through the sky. She takes a deep breath and looks down at the city. She can see the people going out of their houses, they were just like ants in her perspective. She smiles as she kept cruising through the air. Abigail looks up to the clouds and an idea popped out of her mind. The petal pad slowly rises to the air once more, reaching for the clouds above. Minutes later, she hit a cloud as she felt chills on her body. She looks at herself as she was a bit wet, with few water droplets on her arms. She smirks as she starts to play among the clouds like it’s no problem. She stands as she jumps off the pad rather courageously onto a cloud. The petal pad follows her and caught her. Now, she’s like standing on the clouds above her. She smiles widely as she does it again and again, cloud after cloud. Her worries were swiftly gone and she’s not afraid of hopping through every cloud. For the days she has been in this place, she never felt so comfortable, peaceful, and calm for a long time. It will normally get abrupt by a problem or she has lingering thoughts in her mind. She has something to worry about right now, but it just vanished like a bubble out of her mind. She’s in a sudden euphoria right now, which she’s happy with. After hopping at the last cloud that’s within the city, she decided to rest for a while and admire the view once more. She sits on the flower pad. The cloud she last hops on slowly cruise past her. She’s a bit soaked but it was fine for her. It was a calming feeling to feel the calm coldness of the water and the atmosphere here. She was there for a while, just admiring the view. Abigail looks around, in the city and the places that surround it. It’s a bit boring for a city, with almost just plains around and some trade routes for the city. She lets the petal pad move again. She circles around the city, looking at places that could interest her. She hides in the clouds to not get any attention, she doesn’t want her alone time to be abrupted again. She doesn’t want to be seen also by anyone so magical or has an eagle eye to be able to see her from afar. As she went to the northern side of the city, she saw a dense forest to be able to play on with some cliffs and some hilly terrain. At a glance, she knows what she wants to do. She glides through, approaching near it. It was a normal forest, not like the one that she first encounter before that has massive and tall trees. It was normal trees, or at least, that’s what she thought. As she gets nearer and nearer, she saw in the further distance some white-colored things. It was so far from the outskirt of the forest and the city. Although, she can see some glimpse of it. She has been traveling for minutes now and the white things she’s looking for are so far. She doesn’t even know if it’s really something or just the horizon sight of this game. In curiosity, she cruises through the trees. She added some fun to it as she went lower and lower, among the canopy of trees. She even decided to go inside the forest, lowering herself on the ground more. She laughs as she tries to avoid the trees that she succeeded on. As she occasionally saw some gap in the room, she will either rise up to the sky or down the forest grounds. Minute by minute, the weird sight she saw slowly unveils to her. She feels like she’s heading to another world. The white things she have seen from afar were white trees and there’s more! There are pink ones, light blue ones, and very few pastel purple ones. Her eyes widen as she sees this paradise away from the problems she has. The forest she is supposed to be doing some of her shenanigans slowly fades into this pastel forest. She speeds up as she was still mesmerized by how colorful this forest is. It was strange as well. It made her turn her head where she came from, she can even barely see the silhouette of the city she was in. Abigail slowly descends as she approaches the start of the forest. She stands as the pad lands on the ground. She looks around, this place is much more magical than she expected. The leaves were falling like she’s in spring, the variation of colors is an added bonus. The trees were hanging ones like willow trees. They were fat, skinny, tall, and short trees, but all were beautiful on their own. Abigail feels like she’s in another game. As someone playing this game already for a year, she hasn’t found anything like this before or any resemblance of it. The dark areas due to the canopy of trees were lightened up by some weird glowing mushrooms. The grass here is much lusher than the current color of grass in the grasslands and even in her meadows. She slowly goes inside this magical, colorful forest. Some of the trees have some flowers as well, either a part of the tree, which was hanging or some the surrounds and tight in the tree. There were few small flowers in the grass. Unlike the meadows that she was in, it’s fewer compared to it. But for a place that resembles a forest, this is so many. There is even more grass than dirt which makes it much more special. In her curiosity, she started investigating these trees around her. She looks under the canopy of a tree, particularly the purple ones. When she looks up, she finds some fruits hanging from it. Her growling stomach pushes her to eat it, but she’s afraid of dying due to poisoning. But, with her stomach being the winner, she plucked some fruit from one of the trees. It was lush green in color. She shrugs as she hopes she can respawn in this game, which is not impossible. She sat under the tree where she picked the fruit and tried to break it open. With some struggles and help from her magic, she split it in half. As she opens it, it reveals a fruit with a lot of seeds in the middle and seems fewer yellow flesh to eat. She removed the seeds and ate the fruit. In one bite, it was a heavenly feeling. The tangy, subtle citrus and sweet flavor went wild in her mouth. She waited for some minutes to see if something goes wrong with her. As she feels nothing but happiness in tasting a delicious fruit, she decided to chomp on it. With the size of this thing, she just needs to eat one to satisfy her hunger and even quench her thirst. With a full stomach and an eagerness to venture to this place, she continued walking in these woods. She discovered flowers that she decided to pluck for future purposes. She kept walking as she reached an open center. It was just full of grass that’s surrounded by trees. It was not big, but it was big enough for her to play around with her magic. She looks at the spaciousness of the place as she decided to stay at the center. She sat on the ground, admiring the surrounding once more. She was surrounded by beautiful trees, it was the best day of her life. She looks at her necklace as she smirks. She removes her robe and sets it aside on the ground. She stands as she pulls her wand out with plans on her head. Abigail looks around to familiarize herself with the surrounding. She takes a deep breath and puffs it out. She raises her wand and swished it in circles. All of the flowers started to gather around her again. They started circling her as more arrives. When Abigail is satisfied, she swings her wand around, making figures with the petals. She points it on the sky as the petals shoot themselves up. She flicks her wand and swished it in a circular motion to watch all of the petals go down and make a circular shield. She was pleased with what happened. She rotates around herself while pointing the wand ahead of her. The petals formed a wall around her with grace and speed. Then, she suddenly points it on the ground. She feels a sudden force that pushes her up as the petals crowd on her feet. She slowly floats on the ground and up to the sky once more. She did another swirl as the flowers separated which made a hole in the middle, making her fall on the ground. Although, before she even falls, all of the petals rush to her and surround her body. Her descent became slower as she lands her feet on the ground softly. Abigail smiles widely as she looks at the petals that she’s playing with. “I’m getting good at this.” She suddenly raises the wand that makes the petals throw themselves away from her, making a confetti-like scene around her. She laughs as she looks at some of the flowers that didn’t give up their petal for her shenanigan. She approached one as she saw the pollen inside of it that makes her think of one thing. She rushes to her bag and looks for the handkerchief that holds her grimoire. As she got it, she immediately skimmed the table of contents and flipped to a page that she suspects holds the question she have in her head. She mumbled gibberish under her voice but a sudden smirk emerges from her lips again. Abigail closed it as she looks back at the flowers with exposed pollen. She points her wand at it and did some complicated wand gestures. She can see the small specks on the air, floating. She smiles as she confirms it works. She decides to find more of these flowers as she jogs around the forest and getting some of the pollen of the flowers. She came back with a swarm of these specks as she started to grow some flowers with the nearby ones. Seed by seed, she plants it on the ground with her magic. Then, life form starts to emerge in this open area. Different flowers start to grow around her as she went crazy about the flower frenzy she’s having. Flower after flower, pollen after pollen, almost every inch of this place was filled with flowers. Abigail looks around, she was happy with the life that she created around here. Another idea popped off her mind, there’s just a dozen more to do. She raised her wand up again as all of the flowers around her got pluck off the ground. As they slowly float to the center, the parts separate from each other.  It was a giant mess above her. She smiles as she swirls her wand and points it on the ground just for the funsies. It was satisfying to see these flowers float graciously in the air. As this mixture of flowers and parts of flowers touched the ground, it suddenly made a blinding glow. Abigail covers her eyes, “What’s happening?” The glow became brighter and brighter. Although, minutes later, it slowly fades. It revealed something that Abigail didn’t even expect to be inside this blinding orb of light. In front of her was a small animal, laying on the ground. It slowly lifts its head as it looks at her. “What adorable abomination are you!?
