In her state of being stunned, her legs suddenly became glued to the ground. Her thoughts were going haywire. ‘Who is she? What is he doing with her? He went on a business trip, why is he back with another woman?’ all these thoughts ran through her mind as her emerald eyes remained on the woman like she could see through her soul. The woman who was dressed in a see-through black gown and beautiful pearls around her neck stood tall in her red bottom pencil heels beside Alex as he hand stayed wrapped around his arm. Alex stood tall in a cream coloured black suit and black trousers. His hair was dressed to the side and it shunned with cream on black. He looked at Sandra in her long off shoulder red gown. He smiled as red was his favourite colour but he immediately changed his expression to a stoic one. He noticed that she just stood there and was staring at Jenny. She pulled to him signalling that she felt incredibly uncomfortable before Sandra’s gaze. “What is wrong with you Sandra?” He questioned with a frown now settled on his face. “Not even a welcome, you just stand there and stare awkwardly at my guest. Don’t you have any regards for her?” Looking at her with a look of disdain, he slightly pushed her and her welcome box to the side then brought the other women into the house. Sandra who was pushed aside was pressed to shed a tear but she swallowed it in. She calmly approached them with a smile and said, “I’m sorry, please pardon my manners, you really look like someone I have seen before”. She said, still trying to place the face. “Don’t worry your little brain,I’ll introduce her”. He said as he went to the couch with Jenny. They both stood and he signalled Sandra to come close. “Sandra Williams, meet Jenny Heathcliff and Henny Heathcliff, meet Sandra Williams.” He said with a smile and he finally took his seat. “Jenny?” She called out the name, recalling who she was. Her facial expression became even worse. “You mea-mean t-the Jenny!!” She started stuttering as she was trying to exclaim. “Yes” Alex said while playfully nodding his head and looking at her with a devious smile. “Nice to meet you, after so many years,” Jenny said, trying to force a smile. “Hmm” she just hummed and looked down at the gift box. “Uhm I got this for you” she said with a smile. Alex who was now crossing his leg majestically on the chair in which he was seated looked at the gift book. “Ok. Thank you” he said calmly. He had no expression so she didn’t know if he was happy about it or not. She continued further, “You’ve been away on a trip for a while and I decided to surprise you with a little gift on your return”. Alex was showing nonchalance towards Sandra and reluctantly took the gift box. “Thank you once again”. He collected it and put it on the table. “Don’t you want to see what is inside?”She asked happily. “I’ll open it later,” he said, a bit irritated by her pestering. “Make yourself at home, I’ll go get the food and serve you” she said with a very big smile seeing as he collected her gift. Before she could walk away, Alex stopped her, ”Sandra” he called out. “Yes?” She turned to him and looked at him. “Your time is up”. He said looking at her like he wanted her dead. Her smiley face turned sour when she heard him and saw his gaze on her. ‘Wh-what do y-yo-you mean??” She asked, feeling scared and hoping that it’s not what she was thinking. ‘I don’t want to have anything to do with you, you daughter of a murderer” he said as he calmly adjusted to comfort on his master chair. “Murderer’s daughter?” She said confused. “My father was a good man and never killed so what are you saying, you are quite aware of this fact too”. She said as a certain boldness overcame her. She herself didn’t understand where she got the nerve to talk without stuttering in such a situation. Perhaps it’s the undying love and the drive to speak up for her father even in death. *laughs* “So naive and stupid” he said calmly as his deep voice vibrates through the room. Jenny just kept quiet as she was seated beside Alex. “I’ll let you believe what you want but I won’t have you let me go down a memory lane that is full of lies and deceit”. He said still in a calm but authoritative tone. Sandra was so sure of her father and tried defending him further. “My father had always worked diligently. He was always for the right thing and you know this”. “Sandra!!” He yelled out loud in annoyance. Lily who was on her way to the first living room after seeing no one in the second heard Alex's yell and hastened up. She shrieked in fear as his voice sounded thunderous. “I’ll be sending in the divorce papers tomorrow and second thing’s second, you should be out of my house”. “What?” The shock she felt this time was even more real than the others she had been feeling. “Jenny is back and back for good” he said with a smile as he looked towards his side and held up his hand for her to take. Lily arrived at the room and saw Jenny. She was quite confused about what was going on. She saw Sandra in a shocking state and then gave her brother a glare. “Welcome brother. What’s happening?” She greeted first and asked looking at Jenny. “Lily, excuse us.” He said as he didnt his sister to get involved. He sensed that it would be too much on her so he yelled more as he saw she wasn’t going away. “Now!!” She got shocked and then said, “fine”. She left with all she saw still bothering her. She felt more concern for Sandra. “What is Jenny doing here?”. She asked aloud as she was in the elevator that was taking her to her room's floor. “This is unfair. We both know why we are in this marriage in the first place. Since we got married, we’ve been doing fine until you started acting up” She said as tears gathered her eyes which caused her vision to be blurry. “Please don’t do this” she said finally looking at Alex with her emerald eyes full with ripe tears that was ready to fall anytime soon. “You think you can use those teary eyes of yours to win him back,” Jenny, whose blonde hair was dyed black said as she seized Sandra from her head to the ground where her gown was with her eyes. “I stayed with you when she left you Alex” she finally said as tears fell from her eyes as she demonstrated by pointing at herself and Jenny respectively. “You’d always command and I’ll listen. I never did you wrong and now because she is back, you have no use for me anymore huh…?” “You want to dump me?” She said not caring how it sounded at the end. She said slowly and whispery as what was happening was hitting her hard. “I’ll have nothing to do with you ever again. I won’t dump you only, I’ll make sure you suffer and I’ll ruin you”. He said calmly as he looked into her eyes with so much ruthlessness. His words made her chest contrast so badly as though her heart was about to burst. “You’re going to get served tomorrow, so get ready”. He said as he looked at his expensive Rolex. He then stood up and so did Jenny. “I’ll have to drop you off. It’s getting late already dear” he said looking lovingly at Jenny. She took his hand and they started walking towards the door. Sandra stood rooted to the ground and suddenly asked, “Why?” She finally asked after minutes of silence as her gaze was fixed on the ground and her mind full of so many thoughts. “Huh?” Jenny sounded questioning the question Sandra just asked. Alex simply smiled without turning his head. “Go and ask your father in his grave”. He said with anger and melancholy in his tone then he walked out of the room with Jenny…
