Jasper Hartford “Did you pay attention to anything I said?” Michael complained. The answer was no, although I would never admit that to him. He was looking at me across the dining table as I was trying to eat breakfast. The smug look on his face was putting me off my food, and I could really do with having a good breakfast this morning.
