“Tell me it's all a lie… please tell my daughter didn't run away pregnant and has committed the same mistake which I did” Flora pleaded with tears streaming down her eyes as she broke down in Theodore’s arms.

“Baby, please… I promise we would find her” Theodore tried to calm Flora down but she shook her head, walking in with horror.

“How… How could you be so cruel to say those things to her? She’s the most brilliant and amazing teenager I’ve ever known and you play her… You don’t deserve to live” Flora muttered sadly.

“We should send every guard to find her. She couldn't have gone too far… We need to find her, she’s our baby girl. Theodore, she has never been exposed to the real world and there’s no telling what might happen to her especially in other packs. We need to find her fast…I’m trying to mindlink her but I can’t feel any connection” Flora pleaded, holding onto Theodore who sighed deeply.

“Flora…”

“What? She can’t be dead, don’t even think of that!” Flora protested, about to break down and Theodore hugged her tightly.

“No… Not that. Flora… I don’t know how you’ll take this but Amanda isn’t here again…”

“What do you mean?” Flora demanded, frightened already as the worst ideas came to her head. She was breathing very hard and she was some steps away from passing out.

“She has gone to the human world; this is why we can’t mindlink her. She took her certificate because she knows she would be able to get a job there. We can’t go after her because the human world is much bigger and dangerous. It’ll be risky if they’re aware that she’s a wolf. Her wolf hasn’t unveiled herself and the only prayer I have now is for the moon goddess to keep her hidden, nobody can find out she’s a wolf. I would use my influence in the human world to secretly search for her. Flora… there’s a possibility we might not be able to find her again until she has decided to return back home” Theodore explained and Flora staggered back, holding her rising chest.

“She must return!” Alexander growled, shooting Kyle a murderous gaze.

“I’ll get the guard to take you home Kyle, pack your things and leave. You’re no longer welcome in this pack and don’t ever think of stepping foot here if you don’t want to die” Theodore announced and Aaron bared his fangs, pissed that his father was easily letting Kyle go when they could torture him nonstop.

Kyle left and Theodore sat on the couch, the sobbing Flora in his arms. He was trying hard to console her. He was also hurt too, his pup leaving had shattered him but he needed to be strong for the others. Deep down, Thor was howling and calling out to Amanda, it felt like a nightmare and he wished he could wake up.

“I can’t stay… I have to go and find Amanda, the world is dangerous” Aaron suggested and Flora kicked against it vehemently.

“No… Please, let the guards go. I can’t bear to lose two kids” Flora pleaded.

“No! Mom, you're not losing any one of us. I’ll go to the human world, I’ll find Amanda and bring her home. Nothing would happen to any of us” Aaron assured.

“No… please… Aaron please” Flora pleaded, breaking into tears but Aaron was determined.

“I’m sorry mom, I have to go” He muttered, clenching his fists and Theodore took Flora who was sobbing profusely away.

“Are you really going?” Alexander muttered calmly and Aaron nodded.

“I think it’s best if I go, it’s not like I have hope in this pack for anything… It has always been my dream to be an actor, I’ll pursue my career while searching for Amanda and I’ll be a prominent figure then use my power to search for her” Aaron vowed and Alexander nodded.

“You promise to always come back. You’ll come to check up on us. You’ll never break our link and you’ll tell us everything that happens?” Adam demanded and Aaron nodded and they all hugged each other, weeping silently.

“Take care of mom, don’t ever let her feel sad and always assure her that I’ll bring Amanda back no matter what” Aaron said and they nodded.

Parting hurt their wolves terribly and it was weakening their bond but they had no options. They cared about Amanda and thinking about her being alone made all of them want to go search for her.

“I’ll become a famous actor and use my influence to find Amanda… Just wait little pup, we would find you soon”

“Oh, you’re much different from the type of people mom finds on the streets, who are you?” My head went blank when he stared at me with his calm gray eyes.

“Oh Sebastian put on some shirt” Hannah scolded as she turned and placed her phone on the center table while he just smirked.

“Who’s this?”

“This is Amanda and she’s a new… hmm… She’s a new person” Hannah explained.

“Why didn’t you take her to the orphanage?” He demanded, his eyes accessing me and I suddenly felt oblivious of my outfit and rough hair, unconsciously, I brushed my hair back.

“She’s different, she’s someone with potential and I’m about to help her develop it. She’s different from those who we teach from scratch, she’s a determined lady and she’s thirsty for success. Her thirst would fuel her to work well” Hannah explained with a smile and I turned to her, it was difficult to pull my eyes off Sebastian but I managed to do it.

“I hope you get what you want dear, I was heading to the pool, if you need anything call me” He mouthed the last part, winked at me before leaving with a boyish smile.

I felt my heart racing, I’ve never felt this way before, with Kyle it was magical and sparkles everywhere but this was different, I felt like I was being seduced… Like there was something about him that kept pulling me towards him.

He was handsome no doubt but then, I’ve always been surrounded with handsome guys but I’ve never felt anything for them… Sebastian looks like the player, only that he might be worse than Kyle or better. Either way, I should be focused on getting myself together.

“Sorry for the interruption dear. I have good and bad news, which would you like to hear first?” Hannah muttered with a sad look and I gulped nervously, wondering if I could get another opportunity to work anywhere.

“The bad…” My voice broke and I looked down, nervously playing with my fingers. I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous my whole life.

“I’m sorry dear but the firm is full and for them to take any lawyer, the lawyer would have to prove very worthy and would have to go a long way… The good news is that you can start as a secretary and if you prove yourself worthy, you can go further” Hannah muttered and my eyes widened with shock.

Her news wasn’t one bit bad. It was the best news of the day and excitedly, I stood up and hugged her, smiling as tears slowly started trailing down my cheeks. Getting help from a random human was so heartwarming.

“Thank you so much, I’ll forever be grateful to you” I muttered and she patted my back.

“Wipe your tears baby girl, we have to go shopping. Work starts immediately and I explained your pregnancy to her and she said you can take a break a few months before you deliver. I hope the stress won’t be too much for you, being a lawyer’s secretary isn’t an easy job” She felt pity for me and it made me uncomfortable.

“I can manage anything, anything at all” I muttered and with a laugh, she picked up her keys and led me outside.
