MALAIKA~

The amount of pain I was feeling was unlike anything I’d ever felt before and Ive experienced seem pretty bad cramps in my life.

It felt like there was a poison coursing through my veins and it was excruciatingly painful. My heart felt like it wasn’t pumping blood like it should and every beat made it seem like it would jump out of my rib cage any moment.

There was a ringing sound in my ear but I could hear everything, from the sound of my heart beating to the sound of an ant moving on the floor, from the sound of cars and people talking in the town over to the sound of Kaden’s sister tapping away at her phone upstairs.

My eyes stung from the pain and my vision blurred, I wanted to call out to Kaden so bad but only screams escaped my mouth. I could hear muffled screams like someone was in as much pain as I was, maybe more?

I felt my body being lifted off the ground while I screamed in pain and anguish. It hurt so much I wanted to die. I felt my body put on a soft surface but couldn’t concentrate on that as my concentration was on my body that was slowly getting back to normal.

Just like the pain had come it vanished in the same way, all that was left was the ringing in my ears. But I could hear a distinct voice call out to me

“Malaika” The voise sounded worried and pain

“Malaika!? Baby? Laika?!” The voice became more subtle

I slowly opened my eyes to reveal a sweaty and agitated Kaden. Blinking a few times I looked at him clearly, he looked distressed and in pain I got the sudden urge to comfort him but I felt a little weak and thirsty

“Water” I said in a hoarse low voice

“Someone get her some f*****g water” Kaden said looking away from me for just a second. When he looked back at me I placed my hand on his face, maybe I could calm him down somehow? He leaned into my touch and gently caressed my hand with his while the other gently stroked the back of my head.

I leaned into him placing my forehead on his. somehow I felt that would help the situation. We sat there for a moment with both our eyes closed. I slowed opened my eyes and he did the same, he immediately did what I’ve wanted him to do since this morning. His lips landed on mine at first it was a tender but yet needy kiss but soon it became heated with him biting my lower lip gently, a soft moan escaped my mouth and he took that as an opportunity to deepen the kiss further.

He placed his hand on the back of my neck pulling me closer to him and my hands travelled to the back of his hair tugging at it gently.

I pulled away when I felt I needed some air. We were both there breathless, our foreheads together. I suddenly felt flushed and quickly hid my face in his chest, he placed his head in the crook of my neck inhaling my scent.

“Luna, if you’re better now I think it’s time we talked about our little situation here” said the voice I know belonging to the old beer smelling woman from before

My eyes shot up and I saw her, Kadens parents and the three white haired girls in the room and with them were Kyle and Mitch from school. I hid my face again this time from embarrassment.

I pulled away from Kaden earning me a small growl to which I paid no mind but when I was about to move further away he carried me and placed me on his lap

I wiggled uncomfortably in his arms trying to get off till I felt something poke through his jeans making me stiff in my place, further movements would make things worse. I sat there with my eyes on the floor like there was something interesting there.

“Your Water is here but I don’t think you’re thirsty anymore” Kyle said earning chuckles from the women in the room, making me wish the ground could just swallow me.

“Anyways the water is here so you still have to drink it Luna” he said with a sly smile

He brought the water for me to take and Kaden snatched it before I could and opened the bottle for me placing it on my mouth for me to drink

I glared at him and grabbed the bottle downing the whole bottle in an instant but still felt thirsty

I looked up at Kyle sheepishly smiling,

“Can I have more please?”

“Of course” he said walking out the door

“I think you can start talking now” Kaden spoke suddenly “is that okay with you baby doll? He asked me

“Yes, I need to know what’s going on, what was that just now?”

“Well you see Luna that little episode a while back means there’s some bad and good news but that all depends on how you view it all news is like that actually” she said confusing me again

“Speak clearly Greta, we don’t have time for this” Kaden’s dad spoke with a sigh

“Okay, okay” she said with her hands up in surrender, this woman is really something I thought.

“So basically our Alphas mate over here is turning into a blood sucker soon and there is nothing that can be done about it now. We just have to wait for her to die and hope she doesn’t become blood thirsty and need putting down”

“Wait what? So what was the point of coming here if there is nothing that can be done then?” I asked Kaden accusingly, getting off of his lap

“Calm down Laika, I’m sure there is something to be done Greta did mention there was good news” he said his eyes pleading with me

“Greta what is the good news”? He asked looking at Greta

“Well the good news is that when she turns into a blood sucker she’ll be a damn strong one considering the fact that she’s survived the first wave like it was nothing and also I can feel her aura”

“Hows that good news Greta?” Kaden growled

“Well I did mention it was all about perspective didn’t I?” She said leaning back in her chair

“So I’m going to turn into a vampire?” I asked feeling defeated.

I sank on the bed when it all dawned on me

“I will have to live off human blood, won’t be able to eat human food and won’t be able to move in the sun

“My Dad, Kian, how will I even explain anything to them?” I said to my self more than anyone with tears finally rolling down my cheek s with the thought of my Family

“Kaden you have to do something, you said you’d do something, you promised me you’d do something. I don’t want to turn into a freaking vampire Kaden” I said holding his hands tightly. Begging him

“Laika, calm down please baby” he said caressing me cheek

“Excuse us everyone” he said to everyone in the room

They all hesitantly walked out leaving the two of us alone.

I was a sobbing mess. Kaden hugged me tightly then slowly walked me to the bed, I sat down with him trying to calm me down for what felt like the hundredth time today.

“Baby listen to me, being a vampire isn’t even that bad and believe me it’s not like they make it out to be in the movies at all. Yes there’s some very horrible vampires who live just to feed just like the ones who attacked you but it is a choice. You can choose to either feed on human blood or just animal blood. And you can still eat human food, it won’t taste as good but it’ll still be edible” he said the last part with a chuckle. I’m glad he was finding a part of those entire thing funny

“What about the walking in the sun bit?”

“Have you seen the girl at school with pale white skin and red hair? She’s in a few of your classes”

“Molly? What’s she got to do with anything?” I asked

“Molly is a vampire my little mate, and she can walk in the sun because she wears an enchanted ring”

I was still in shock from finding out Molly is a vampire to even concentrate on anything else my mouth just hang open

“See vampirism isn’t that bad, and anyways I’ll get to go down in history as the only Alpha to get a Vampire as his Luna

“Well at least one of us is getting something out of this entire absurd situation” I said laying on the bed exhausted “and what the hell does Luna even mean?

Kaden moved to where I was on the bed laying down next to me, I turned to face him, were were now just inches apart he looked at me deep in my eyes and said;

“A Luna is like what humans call a queen, you’re my other half, the one destined to rule by my side for as long as I live, with a mate and Luna by an Alphas side he is hundred times stronger”

And your are my Luna baby doll, my queen, my soulmate for life”
