Bloody brothels.

It was his wolf that spoke and it’s like it commanded me.

I froze in my spot. I turned to see everyone in the room acting like I didn’t just throw two men into opposite directions. Everyone was acting nonchalant.

I guess this must be a normal thing around here.

Kaden was soon next to me, his hand and eyes between my neck and face he was examining my earlier bruised neck that was now completely healed.

“I’m impressed” he simply said as he held my hand leading me out the bar.

I looked at him confused, wasn’t I being tasted on my ability to hold myself back?

“Oh I’m not talking about you restraining yourself, you completely failed at that little baby doll, I mean I’m impressed with your strength and abilities. Remind me not to get on your bad side” he said with a little chuckle

‘Wasn’t my strength what every vampire was capable of?’

Most abilities take a few days to fully manifest and for most it takes feeding on human blood, but you so far have surpassed the strength of a rogue hunter vampire and a hunter human, you’ve not even fed on a human” he said answering my question like he could hear my thoughts

“How many vampires have drank from a Alpha werewolf? I’m guessing not many maybe that triggered my strength? Also I was worried I would be craving human blood but so far I’m doing alright”

“I don’t know of any vampire that’s had a chance to get that close to a Alpha but you could be right, at this point everything is just an experiment. There are many firsts in this situation but we will learn everything together. And about the not craving human blood let’s test that theory too, it’s gonna be very risky but I for some reason have faith in you and I’m certain you’ll pass it”

I smiled at him. I was angry at the bar thinking he’d just let me go through that after claiming I’m his soulmate or wolfmate or whatever, I mean I don’t know much about wolfs but I know a man is protective of the woman he loves and I know it must have taken a lot of restraint on his part to watch me go through that with those men.

Just the thought of what he’s doing for and how he’s being there for me makes me involuntary smile.

I walk closer to him and hold his hand tightly

He’s taken aback for a second but when he recovers his fingers wrap tightly around mine and he smiles at me that beautiful smile I can’t seem to get enough of.

I feel the pit of my stomach knot and blush immensely at the feeling. The sparks where we’re touching are very strong and I hear a voice in my head

‘What the heck was that. Why am I all of a sudden hearing voices in my head and what do I mean I love him? What? Do I even know what love is?’I pull my hand away quickly and walk faster leaving Kaden behind.

“Laika, What’s wrong, Are you okay?” Kaden asks catching up with me with both worry and concern

“Ah, I’m alright could we please just run back the rest of the way? I think I need another run”

He seems unconvinced but agrees with me regardless with a small smile

We begin to run and this time it’s not as fun. I can feel the tension that I caused and my heart aches.

We stop at the roadside back where we packed the car and I decide I can’t stand feeling this way anymore.

He lifts me and sits me on the car bonnet, I wrap my legs around him and he pushes closer into me, I can feel his excitement poke through his jeans and I chuckle through the kiss. He groans and kisses me even more aggressively but pulls away backing from me. He turns around just as his eyes turn a dark orange and I know his wolf is trying to come out

I watch as he aggressively tugs at his hair with his wolf fingernails now visible, did I over excite him? Well duh of course I did’

“Kaden” I say standing on my feet

He turns to me, he looks like he’s in anguish or something I can’t quite decipher, mostly likely fighting with his wolf. I don’t know how being a wolf works does he get full control of himself, do they have to take turns? Or can both be in control at once?

I walk slowly towards him and take his hand that’s in his hair

I hold both his hands in mine stroking the back of them with my thumbs.

I place a light kiss on his lips that I hope conveys how I feel about him.

“Thank you”

His eyes turn back to normal and I watch as his features soften and he smiles.

He pulls me tightly into a hug and I busk in the embrace. I could stay like this forever

A small groan escapes my mouth when he pulls away and I pull him back holding on to him for dear life

We stand for about three minutes in each other’s arms. If it were up to me I’d stay in his arms forever.

I pull back clearing my throat. Kaden looks at me making me blush under his gaze, a look that makes me feel like I’m the greatest gift he’s ever gotten.

I smile back and we pull apart him guiding me to the passenger side and opening the door for me.

We drive to what looks like a warehouse and I just as we pull into the parking area a strong smell of fresh blood hits my nostrils and I have to hold myself back to not go zooming to the source of the smell.

Kaden looks at me knowingly as I hold on tightly to the seatbelt trying to calm my racing heart and pulls on my hand and looks at me assuringly

“I’ll tell you right now, this is not gonna be easy, hell its very far from it but like I’ve known all along, you’ve got this. This is our last test for today. Are you ready?”

“Yes” I simply saying smiling. Feeling a wave of calmness wash over me after Kaden’s words.

“I’m ready”

“Okay, let’s do this”

We head to the entrance of the ragged warehouse and I can smell the scent that’s so strong it’s almost blinding

There are two big guys at a small black metal door, they are almost as big as Kaden but he still towers over then slightly.

I watch as they stiffen after spotting Kaden and I.

We walk closer and they simply bow stepping out of the doorway to let as in.

They send weird glances my way but u just ignore them. I can tell they are vampires like me.

Walking in the smell in the building is much stronger it is unlike anything I’ve smelt before, it smells like pure ecstasy and I badly want just a little taste

We walk through a hallway and into a large clearing. In the building.

I find myself almost drooling when we enter the center which is divided into cubicle like rooms by mesh curtains that have been made to look alluring by the red led in the room.

A sensual song is playing through some speakers and the song is adding onto the hazy effect.

I slowly walk to the source of the enchanting smell completely forgetting about Kaden and anything else that’s not the source of the smell. I walk in a trance as the smells get stronger. It smells of something delicious and another smell I can’t explain that has my body reacting weird. Like horny weird.

when I get to one of the rooms where the smell led me to I find a guy on top of a woman. The sight is both disgusting and enchanting as I stand still in my spot.

He turns to look at me for but a second and continues his act of sucking on the womans neck.

She’s laying just in her underwear as is the guy drinking from her.

She seems high. In a daze maybe? But clearly not bothered by what’s happening to her.

I walk to another cubicle and find the same thing happening all over. s*x with bloodlust.

I’m stopped by a woman who walks to me and pulls lightly at my hand, my legs voluntarily moving to where she’s leading me.

She leads me to a room with men and women drinking some sort of drink that I can’t recognize

“What’s your preference?” She asks

I’m unable to answer her because my mind is still in a trance

“You have a variety to pick from, just let me know what your preference is or if you want all of them, that’s an option too”

I watch as a guy who looks maybe 19 or in his early twenties walk shamelessly towards us with just his jeans and his chocolate skin shimmering like he finished a whole bottle of baby oil.”

He walks to a table picking up a knife and when he’s a few meters away from me he places the blade on his wrist cutting into his skin and drawing blood.
