Chapter1 ( Meet by destiny )
The sun rose gently over the tranquil valley, casting golden rays on the small village where Liang Yuxian lived. She stood at the edge of her family’s garden, her heart racing with excitement and trepidation. Today marked her coming-of-age celebration, a day she had anticipated with a mix of joy and fear.
“Yuxian!” her mother called from the house, her voice a warm blend of encouragement and concern. “Are you ready? The festival will begin soon!”
Liang turned back to her mother, a soft smile gracing her lips. “I’m ready, Mother! But… what if I don’t fit in? What if everyone thinks I’m just a strange girl from the mountains?”
Her mother walked over, brushing a strand of hair behind Yuxian’s ear. “You are special, my dear. The villagers will see the beauty of your spirit. Just remember to be yourself.”
With a deep breath, Liang Yuxian stepped into her new role, one that would take her beyond the safe confines of her home. As she walked toward the village square, the sounds of laughter and music filled the air, wrapping around her like a comforting cloak.
---
In the heart of the village, lanterns swayed gently in the breeze, illuminating faces full of joy and anticipation. Liang Yuxian felt the pulse of the celebration, her heart beating in time with the vibrant atmosphere. She watched as children danced, their laughter echoing like a sweet melody.
“Look at her!” whispered a girl nearby. “Isn’t she the one who dances like a snake?”
Another girl replied, giggling, “I heard she has the blood of the snake dragon fairies. She must be magical!”
Liang’s cheeks flushed with a mixture of pride and embarrassment. Just then, a captivating melody floated through the air, drawing her attention. It was unlike anything she had ever heard—deep and enchanting, with a hint of longing. She followed the sound, curiosity leading her deeper into the festivities.
Suddenly, she collided with someone, the impact knocking her back a step. She looked up to see a handsome young man, his dark hair tousled and a playful grin on his face.
“Sorry about that! I didn’t see you,” he said, his voice smooth like silk. “I was lost in the music. I’m Li Zaohua.”
“Li Zaohua?” she echoed, taken aback. “The prince?”
He laughed, a sound that made her heart flutter. “Yes, the very same. But today, I’m just a boy enjoying the festival, not a prince burdened by responsibilities.”
Liang’s eyes sparkled with intrigue. “You’re not worried about the throne?”
“Not today,” he replied, his gaze locking onto hers. “Today is for celebration. And perhaps for meeting someone extraordinary.”
“Someone extraordinary?” Liang raised an eyebrow, her heart racing. “You mean… me?”
“Of course! How could I not be enchanted by someone who dances like the wind?” He gestured playfully, and for a moment, the world around them faded.
As the melody filled the air again, Liang Yuxian felt the urge to dance, her body responding to the music as if it were calling her. “Would you like to dance with me?” she asked, surprising herself with the boldness of her question.
Li Zaohua’s eyes lit up with delight. “I’d be honored!” He took her hand, and together, they joined the throng of dancers, moving in rhythm with the music. Liang felt the warmth of his hand enveloping hers, and a spark of magic coursed through her veins.
“Where did you learn to dance like that?” he asked, his voice barely audible over the music.
“My family has a tradition,” she explained, twirling gracefully. “We are connected to the legends of the snake dragons. Dance is a way for me to express that connection.”
“Legends, you say?” Li Zaohua’s curiosity deepened. “I want to know everything about you.”
Just then, the music shifted, and the crowd began to cheer. A troupe of dancers dressed in vibrant costumes swirled around them, their movements a breathtaking display of grace and power. Liang Yuxian felt a surge of confidence as she danced, her heart soaring with every step.
“Look!” a voice called from the crowd. “She dances like the mythical snake dragon!”
Liang caught a glimpse of admiration in Li Zaohua’s eyes. “You truly are magical,” he said, breathless from the dance. “I’ve never seen anyone move like you.”
As the celebration continued, they found themselves drawn closer together, lost in conversation and laughter. “Tell me,” Liang said, her eyes sparkling. “What do you dream of when you’re not being a prince?”
Li Zaohua paused, contemplating. “I dream of adventure, of exploring the world beyond the palace. But it seems I’m always pulled back into the royal duties.”
“Adventure is worth chasing,” Liang replied thoughtfully. “I’ve dreamed of discovering new places, of dancing under the stars in far-off lands.”
Their eyes locked, and in that moment, both felt an undeniable connection, a spark of destiny weaving their fates together. The music swelled, filling the air with promise, and Liang knew this was only the beginning of something extraordinary.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold, Liang Yuxian and Li Zaohua shared a moment that would change their lives forever.
