I woke up to the sound of people chattering beside me. I could faintly hear that they were arguing about me. “Where am I?” I blinked a few times before I could fully open my eyes.
Elijah instantly grabbed my hand and occupied the empty chair on the side of my bed.
“How are you feeling?” He asked me gently.
“I’ve told you not to shock her like that on the plane, but you won’t listen,” Billy said from behind him.
Elijah gave him a glare while I just simply laughed at them.
“I guess she’s fine by now. You might want to cuff her to the bed, Elijah. In case she wanted to run away from you again.” Amber joked at Elijah.
