*Gabriel* I stand with the map spread across the table, tracing my finger along the path inland, away from the city, the sea, and away from impending doom. The Blue Mountain foothills are remote, and high enough to be safe from the waves. I tap the spot with finality. “That’s where you’ll go,” I say, lifting my eyes to Tomas, Isla, and Cyrus.
