*Nevaeh* “Can you tell me where they put the deceased soldiers?” It’s such a horrible question, but that’s what I need to know right now. The woman I’m asking doesn’t even blink. “They’re preparing a graveyard out back,” she explains. “I don’t think it’s ready yet, so I think you’ll find the bodies are back there, too.” “Thank you.” This gives me time to look for Sam’s body, though I wish I didn’t have to. I head toward the farmhouse, intending to go straight around back and start looking, but a familiar young woman runs up to me. I worked with her before. “I hope you got some rest.
