Set in the sun-kissed coastal town of San Alunsina, this tale unfolds around the pursuit of peace, the confrontation of buried memories, and a love that remains eternally etched in the heart.

After wrapping up her studies, Misty leaves the noise of the city behind and escapes to a quiet seaside town, taking a part-time job at a café called Mama's Brew. Here, life is slower. The mornings begin with the scent of coffee and the sea breeze, and the nights glow softly with fireflies.

Misty believed she was on the path to a fresh start-until fate intervened and Theo walked in.

Theo, the boy who once held her heart. The boy who left. And now, the boy standing at the café door with someone else's hand in his.

As Misty grapples with this unexpected encounter, she finds herself at a crossroads, torn between the new life she is yearning to create and the shadows of a past she can't escape. In a town where every street and shore whispers memories of what once was, she must determine if second chances are a gamble worth taking, or if some tales are destined to conclude in the soft embrace of rain.

Prologue
The scent of sea salt and espresso still clings to the memory of my first day here, when I traded city chaos for quiet mornings and coffee-stained aprons. It wasn't exactly what my parents imagined when I graduated. To them, taking a full-time job as a barista in an old beach café felt like throwing my diploma into the ocean. Pero para sa'kin? This place in San Alunsina—far from home, far from expectations parang nakahinga ulit ako sa unang pagkakataon. "Every Summertime" by NIKI hums softly from the café's old radio, its speakers crackling like they're trying to hold onto the last echo of the song. Grabe talaga ang init sa Pinas! Today's heat is as unexceptional as ever, making me wish sunscreen came with a built-in air conditioner. The ocean was just steps outside, waves kissed the shore in slow, steady beats. Summer in this town isn't loud—it moves in a lazy, golden rhythm, like the sea breeze that slips through the screen door and wraps itself around my ankles. The windchime sound as the door is pushed open, pagbibigay senyas na may bagong customer. "Hello po, Good Afternoon! Welcome to Mama's Brew. Ano pong order niyo?" bati ko with matchy eye smile for full service. Napalingon kami pareho. At doon ako natigilan. Same face, same stance—like time moved, but you didn't. Pero may bago. May kasama siyang babae. Multo by Cup of Joe suddenly played in my head, uninvited.. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
