Chapter- 15 Got kicked out of my own house

Aster: "What did you just say? Did I hear that right?" She said looking at Al in disbelief.
Al: "what, you're the one who said you wanted a daughter- in- law like her. " He said acting innocent.
Aster looked at her husband and said " Did you just hear that dear, my son who threw a tantrum and even ran away from home just because I brought up some engagement plans with some girls said he would bring a daughter- in- law because I said it? "
Richard: " Well she seems to be a nice lady but how long have you guys known each other? Do you know her well? ".
Al: " Well I've met her some few times and she really a nice capable woman and I can always ask to know more".
His father smile and said " True, well if that's what you want".
Aster was still staring at him dramatically and than her mother instict took over " Well, what does she do? Oh by the way I saw her holding a staff before is she hurt or does she have some disability ? What about her family? "
" Honey" Richard tried to tone down his wife but Aster was not one to be restrained.
" Oh come on I just wanna know more about the sweet girl. I didn't mean to be rude besides it is better to ask my son than to ask her. " She reasoned and Al also knew she didn't have any I'll intention.
Al gave in and said, " Fine, fine, I'll tell you. She's an investor and also holds 10% of the shares in our company though I doubt it's only in our company. And as for family she's an only child and her parents died early. As for the staff it is just for convenience, she's a bit more of a classic woman. Satisfied? ". He said the last sentence with a cheesy grin as for her parents he made up the thing about her family from hearing her talk about her life.
Aster was quite satisfied " Yes, very much. She grew up alone but still manage to become such a fine woman I'm proud of her. But son, will she like you". She said a bit serious.
Richard chuckled and said " Well that's something to be really concerned about ".
Al was lost for words looking at his parents siding with Ella " Okay I admit she is a good lady but you guys only meet her today and that too only for some minutes whereas I am your only son, how can you talk like that about me".
Aster put on a smug face and said " I'm saying this because you my son. You don't know how to please a girl, you're spoilt, arrogant and always complains and your public personality is even worse, your face and body is the only decent thing in you". She rambles on cutting the apples and placing them in the plate.
Al look at her disbelieved and said " Are you sure I'm your son, I'll make sure to do a DNA test before I leave this hospital. And I'll bring her home and proof myself a decent man with decent character hmp... "
Aster said in a mocking tone " Sure sure, but for you to do that you have to get better first here eat this apple and go chase my daughter ". They all laughed.

Ella went out of the hospital and called Iri, " Iri? How is it going? Have you booked a place? ".
Iri sounded a bit flustered on the other side of the phone " Umm, about that Jace offered us his house to stay in for a while... Hehe? ".
Ella was shocked and blinked in amazement " What? His house? Why? And where is he gonna live".
"Oh he is living in his parents house for a few days and said that he will be happy for us to stay in his house during that time." She answered calmly.
Ella was not sure and said " Well you should stay there since he is your friend, it will be more convenient and safe for you that way. I'll just book a hotel nearby".
" Than I.... " Iri was interrupted by someone and suddenly a man's voice came from her phone " Hello? Umm this is Jace can you please consider living here at my place? I just wanted to help you both and no one is currently living in the house anyway except for the maids so it won't trouble anybody " Jace tried to reason out with her.
Ella sigh and said a bit playfully " Are you sure me being there won't disturb your romance? ".
Jace coughed flustered and said in a hurry " No no, you are very much welcome, and besides we're just friends, you won't be disturb anyone rather I will be happy if I can get to know you too".
Ella laughed and said while getting in the car " Okay okay, than I will gratefully take up the offer".
"Really, it's my pleasure. I'll send you the adress right away" He hung up the call.

Ella followed the map and reached her destination. The gatekeeper opened the gate for her to enter, Jace and Ella was waiting for her at the front gate. He let a servant go to park her car, and invite her inside the house. It was a very decent place, and some 2/3 maids were there. Jace showed them around the necessary places and led them to their respective rooms, it was a quest room with not much stuff but overall a comfortable one.
They went down the living room and sat there for some time talking about some interesting topics and after some time Ella decided to stop being a third wheel and stood up saying " Well then, you two should talk for a while, I'll go up to my room and rest, I'm feeling a bit tired. "
Jace " Okay than, just take this place as yours and use it freely. I'll be going back in a while as well. "
" Oh don't mind me you people take your time" Ella teased and Iri crumbled " Elllaaa" .
Ella laugh while walking up the stairs saying " Good night both of you".
Jace wished back "Have a nice night Mrs. Ella" And she went to her room to rest.
Only Jace and Iri remained on the living room and spoke for some more time.
Iri said shyly" Please don't mind her, she live off teasing people and doesn't mean much. "
Jace chuckled " It's okay besides, not all of her doubts are wrong... Right".
Iri blushed deeper feigning ignorance " What do you mean".
"Hmm... I'm pretty sure I have showed you many times how interested Iam in you". He rest his face in his palms pretending to be deep in thought, looking at Iri.
Iri protested hurriedly" Stop saying whatever you want, leave I'm also going to bed".
" Ah, I got kicked out of my own house". He said acting hurt.
" You're the one who told me to take it as my own hmp. " She answered back smugly.
Jace laughed and acting like a gentleman he took her hands and kissed the back of it saying " Well than, have a beautiful dream my lady".
She looked at him go out the door and went to her own room shutting the door and ran to her bed, hugged the pillow and roll around happily with a hot reddened face.
She thought to herself that " she really had fallen for him hadn't she", she giggled by herself thinking about what he had just said a moment ago.
Right then, her phone snoozed indicating a message notification she opened to see a message from Jace ' Have reached home, Good night' it was followed by a heart emoji and a Good night sticker. She grinned wider than before and went to sleep.

The next day in the hospital Al was visited by Minerva, " Are you feeling better? ".
Al with a business smile answered " Yes, thank you for visiting".
She sighed and sat down looking at Al with squinted eyes. Al got uncomfortable with the continuous staring and asked " What, is there something you wanna say? ".
" Yes, a lot actually" She stated still not taking her eyes away from him and if not staring more intently.
Al tried to be as polite as possible and asked " Please tell me about it".
Minerva who was sitting gracefully with straight back leaned back on the couch closed her eyes released a long breath, crossed her legs and look back at him again, " What do I lack that you hate me so? " She asked softly and curiously.
" Oh no, you lack nothing, I mean you are respected and loved by the country what can I possibly say that you lack". Taken back by the sudden question he tried praising her with a fake emotion.
She shook her head closed her eyes again " Haaa..... Stop it, I give up, it's not gonna get me anywhere".
Al ask confused " What do you mean? "
" You don't have to be on guard around me, I won't chase after you anymore, I feel like I'm wasting my time". She stated and looked at Al to see him in a confused state.
She continued, more like speaking to herself " You see, I had no interest in anyone so I thought that I'll just marry someone who is capable and with whom I can have a peaceful relationship with no feeling and you just happened to be the perfect candidate for that, you had power but no attachment and I won't feel guilty if I'm with you but haaa....I don't think so anymore. "
Al was dumbfounded and felt insulted but he looked at the bright side " Well that's good you should find someone more suited for you, I'm not a marriage material".
Minerva spoke again " That was exactly why I was after you, because you weren't a marriage material. " Al's eye twitched and she blabber on " But, .... This days you just look dazed and occupied it's not a sight I prefer".
Al's forced a tight smile and said " Miss Minerva is truly straightforward". He clutched the sheets tightly with his hand trying to control himself from running his mouth at her.
" Well let's leave the past behind and try to get along shall we? How many days more are you gonna stay here for? " She said, no matter how rude her words were her voice was so gentle no one could possibly get mad at her.
Al agreed with the ' keeping the past behind' part and answered a bit more freely " Maybe the after a day or two, my hands can be healed at home and they found nothing wrong with my head".
" Great, seems the police has not caught the criminals yet. " She stated and Al replied ' seems so'.
" Okay than, I'll be leaving now, take care" She stood up and went out receiving a thanks from Al for visiting.
Some time after after she left Jace and Dane came in " Hey buddy, you good? " He was in a strangely happy mood.
" Yup, I'm feeling great but I heard you've been so busy courting some woman that you haven't got any time to visit me". He said taking out all the build up frustrations from before as well.
" What's with you Aldri, I was just sincerely helping the one who saved you" Jace defended himself.
Al confusedly asked " Helping who? "
Jace: " Miss Ella is renovating her house so I'm currently letting her live at my house ". He grinned and Al got dumbstruck.
