Chapter- 63 " A night this lonely "

Al got done with his work as soon as he could and went to a shop to buy bouquet of roses, he asked them to wrap it specially for him and payed extra.

He didn't let the driver drop him off but went home by himself. It was already late evening by the time he reached home, he was delayed by his work and his shopping but he didn't mind.

He had thought about a bunch of things in his head to tell her when he went back. He will apologize to her, he will make sure to do it right this time even if he had to beg and admit all his mistakes. He had made the perfect plan in his head. He also went to buy her favourite champagne for her.

He went inside holding the bouquet and went to ask Sira, " Where is Ella? "

Sira knew that they were having some conflict so she sigh and said, " She must have been up in her room, she didn't come out of there for the whole day after you left. She even refused her usual afternoon tea. "

Al frowned and said, " Oh, is that so? "

Sira said, " Young master I hope you can make it up with her. Ever since her arrival the house has got so much warmer and more lively. "

Al nodded, " I know, I'm sorry for making you all worry. I'll try my best to make it up with her. " He raised the bouquet with a smile intending that he had made a plan.

Sira looked at him and smiled, " Good luck with it young master. " She gave him two thumbs up with a cheeky grin.

Al thanked her and made his way up to Ella's room. He knocked at her door but no reply came, " Ella? Can you please let me in? "

He heard no movement inside the room so thinking that maybe she went to the bathroom he went back to his room to change his dress and went back to try again.

He knocked at her door but once again he heard no noise or no movement, he felt no people in the room through his senses and he got a bad feeling about it so he knocked hard at the room and raised his voice, " Ella are you there? I'm coming in. "

He got no reply even after asking like that, he knew she was not the kind of person to just shut him out completely even after knowing that he was worried.

He forced open the door breaking the lock and entered, Jace came up next to him followed by Iri.

They asked, " What was that, did something happened? Is something wrong? "

Al looked flustered as he answered, " Ella is not inside the house, I can't feel her presence anywhere. "

The door to the balcony was wide open but there was no one there, " I don't feel good about this. " Al frowned.

Jace looked around the place and said, " Maybe she just went out for a walk? "

Al gritted his teeth and speak so only Jace could hear him, " Those demons are crawling this place more than ever Jace, they aren't gonna leave a chance with her walking around alone. "

Iri was also worried he asked, " What's going on? " She knew that things didn't look good by looking at the two.

Jace smiled for her and said, " We aren't sure yet, you go rest in your room and we'll go look for her, she must be around the area. "

They were about to move out but suddenly Ella returned from the balcony. The guys were surprised by her but she just smiled and said to Iri, " You've come back? "

Al asked her where has she been but she gave her no reply. Instead Iri answered, " Yes I just came back and heard the door break so I went up to check with Jace. Where did you go? "

Ella put on a calm expression, " You think too much, I just went out to take a walk, you can go rest now. "

" Okay. " Iri turned to left and Ella said to the boys, " You guys stay and fix the door. "

They knew that something was up,  There were clear signs of Ella using her power, Iri who had no power may not have sensed it but they who could feel Ella's aura knew that she just came back from a fight and it was a big one.

Her gloves were burnt, her eyes were slightly glowing and her blazing aura, no matter how much she tried to calm it down in front of Iri, her aura could be clearly sensed by the guys.

After making sure that Iri had went down she asked them, " Why did you hide from me about your recent actions. "

The guys didn't know how much she had found out about so they didn't dare speak up.

Ella scoffed, " All these time there were people surrounding our place every night? But that's not it. You guys went and attack the place on your own when you told me you haven't found it?"

Al flinched and said, " We didn't attack it, we were just spectating the area. "

Ella smirked, " Really? So then when did you plan to tell me about it? "

Al frowned," We didn't want to tell you about it because we didn't want you to get hurt, I told him not to tell you for the time being. "

Ella got angrier as she scowled, " It's a fight Al, it's bound to be dangerous and everyone is sure to get hurt, why shall I alone be protected and unhurt. "

Al looked up at her, " I know but I don't want to put you in danger just yet when I am certain I can protect you. You don't have to fight for us and put yourself at risk when it's not necessary. "

Ella looked at him with a pained face hearing his words, " Al, you know I don't want to bring you more problems, I know that if I am caught I'll bring harm to everyone but am I really that unnecessary? "

Seeing her so pained it broke his heart as he said, " Calm down Ella, I don't mean it like that, I just don't want you to get hurt. I am sorry. "

Ella's lips slightly trembled as she said, " Al? Is that also the reason why toh haven't told me that your powers aren't fully back? "

She looked at him for an answer but he stood frozen instead and she spoke again, " Is that the reason why you haven't told me that I'm the reason why you haven't got it back? "

Al flinched and looked up at her, " How do you know that? "

Ella bit her lips, " Al, do you really not trust me with anything at all? Not even my love for you? "

" I guess I cannot gurantee you that I'll be safe, that I wouldn't go berserk if you do. I really hate being so weak. " She didn't even had the strength to argue anymore.

" No Ella, it's not your fault, don't worry I'll find a way. " Al tried to make her feel better.

Ella dropped her eyes from him, and taking a deep breath she said, " I don't wanna be useless Al, I want to help you and I thought that if I stay here we can help each other out but if you are gonna protect me like this, if I'm gonna bring you harm instead than I'll find my own way to fight. "

She looked at him determined, " When will you take it from me Al? When will you trust me enough to leave me alone with only my strength? "

Al kept quiet and Ella sighed.

She walked out the balcony and Al tried to follow her but she turned to look at him and said, " If  you still have a single bit of respect for me than don't follow me. I promise not to get caught until the time comes and I promise that I'll come back when you need me. "

She walked went down the balcony and he stood at the door looking at her fading silhouette.

He clenched his fist and turned to Jace, " This won't do, we have to fasten up our preparation. "

Jace agreed and said, " But Aldri, are you not gonna find out who told her about your powers? If they have found out it'll be dangerous for you.... "

Al interrupted before he finished, " I know, but I am sure that she doesn't know who told her about it herself, she is more sensitive than us. Whe would have said it if it is gonna do us any harm but since she didn't, trust her decision. Finish the preparation early Jace. "

He nodded and went out of the room. Al looked at the bouquet on the table and sighed, " Why cannot I do anything right. "

At that moment a strong cold wind blowed into the room through the balcony, Al turned to look out and saw that the first snow of the year was falling slowly following the wind, his eyes turned red in sorrow as his clenched fist shook. Again, he was not able to hold her and had let go her hand. Ella sensed that some people were near the house so she went out to check only to run into the demons.

She fought them and could easily defeat them as they were quite weak. Ella was curious with his words so she asked, " You guys came here everyday? "

She didn't want to hear anymore so she killed him but than a guy spoke from the shadows, " You really are a princess. "

" Why? It's true isn't it, he isn't telling you that you are using half of his powers. " The guy continued.

She was shocked and asked the guy what he really meant but he was gone as swiftly as he came.

After Ella walked out of the house she went towards the a place, the place that strangely always calms her down when she was sad and makes her mad when  she was happy.

As she made her way towards it she felt a cold touch on her cheek, she looked up to see the drop that had stolen her warmth and saw the snow falling gently in that lonely night.

She smiled in sorrow, breathing out a heavy breath to see it's trace, " In all this centuries I've lived alone. I've never spend a night this lonely. "

She didn't want to think of anything anymore, she kept her head low only looking towards the road and made her way to her destination.

When she knew that he was keeping things from her to protect her, she knew he was being as kind as he could be, she knew he just wanted to keep her safe because he loved her. But it made her feel so low.

When she went out to kill the demons who were in the area, when they told her of his actions, she burned them shutting their mouths.

She felt so low, she wanted to be the one to protect him, she wanted to be strong for him, but the same person decided to harm himself instead of even sharing his burden to her.

She felt like a waste when she knew she was being protected instead, all her life all she wanted was his trust, all she ever lived for was to protect him and she was the reason for his weakness.

She reached the place, the usual small cave and hid herself in its shadows.
