Chapter- 64 " Al don't like it "

Ella went inside the place where she found the sword, she walked up the the exact spot and spoke, " Was it his power in me that made you call out to me? I was protected even if he wasn't here in self huh? "

After calming herself down, she went to a house and knocked on it. Someone came to open the door for her and she smiled with a sly face.

" What is it, Witch? why are you here? " Old Li came out of the house, it was just a small one floor house lying in the back of a busy neighborhood.

Ella smiled with a business face, " Find me a place to stay for a while will you? "

Old Li put in a suspicious face and asked, " Why? Did the prince chase you out of his? "

Ella smiled and said, " Well, something like that. " She felt guilty for blaming it on him but she need to get some pity.

Old Li knew all the secret places where it's easy to hide from humans and demons both, his skill is what brought him this far.

He looked at her again and sighed, " Stay here, I'm going to go call up some kids that are outside the country, you can stay here during that time. "

The kids refer to the demons who were hiding out of town. Ella agreed and went in , it was already dawn at that time and Old Li was preparing to leave.

While packing he asked, " So? Did the prince decided that he doesn't want to be with a witch after all? "

He didn't knew their past story and relationship so he always thought of their pairing as a strange and weird one.

Ella pretended to not be affected by his words and said, " Nah, I'm the one who let go of him, who can resist a beauty like me. I thought I should not belong to anyone so I ran away leaving him. "

Old Li cursed something under his breath, " Whatever you say, don't touch anything in the house. If anyone comes don't open the door, the people around here doesn't approach me. So it must be those damned ones, the others doesn't contact me, only Xerven may come here for business, but I'll warn him I'll be out. "

Ella was eating the fruit on the table not giving him much ear, and just nodding along.

The old man looked at her acting so laid back and cursed under his breath, " I should not have let her stay. "

Ella said, " I heard that Old man. "

" Whatever, I'll be going now, remember to keep the place intact. I've heard that you've damaged that damned house of yours twice. I'll make you pay double if you dare do it to mine. " He warned her.

Ella sighed, " Yes, yes, I'll pay you triple now go, let me sleep. "

" Don't go to the room, stay here and in the kitchen only. " He lift his bag and prepared to go.

Ella grumbled, " Finneee. " And she whispered to herself, " We'll see about that. "

Old Li glared at her and left saying, " Be gone before I come back. "

After he left Ella stood up and went to sit at the at the couch, she laid down and sighed. Fatigue took over her and she fell asleep.

She has been walking all her way and earlier her feeling didn't let her notice her tiredness but now that she sat down to rest, all the piled up emotional and physical fatique rushed up to her and she fell asleep right away.

She didn't think of what might be happening at home either, she didn't want to remember them for the time being as she wants to rest alone all by herself.

She thought about how Iri might react when she hear that she's gone but since Jace was there with her she believed that he will handle her and protect her. Besides, she's staying at Al's house.

Back home at dinner, Iri asked the guys, " Where's Ella? "

Al didn't know what to say to her and Jace said, " She left for some work, she may not be back for a while. "

Iri asked, " Did she go to some place dangerous? " She knew that he didn't want her to know everything and even if he did tell her she wouldn't understand it.

Jace cleared his throat and said, " No, she had gone to meet up with someone, she'll be back in a few days. "

Al just kept eating his food and without finishing it, he left for his room.

Earlier Jace ask if he should follow her but he denied, " She's probably at a Old Li's place, I can feel her power there. "

Jace asked, " You can feel your power in her? "

Al nodded, " Yes, that's why till now I've been allowing her to walk around alone. "

" If something happens I can be at her side right away, so don't worry for now and let's give her some time alone. She probably would need that most right now. " Al was as sad and troubled as Ella.

Jace said, " Aldri, don't you think you're being too overprotective, she's not a kid and is capable of protecting herself. Why don't you let her do as she wants? "

Al sternly disagreed, " No, not yet. These are the most dangerous times I can leave her by herself. "

Jace left and he went to bed but didn't sleep, he checked his powers in her to make sure that it was stable and even it's surroundings.

The place she was seemed to be in a middle of a crowded neighborhood so the demons wouldn't attack recklessly.

He thought, " That Old man really knows how to do his business. "

He himself went out and searched around the neighborhood she was in the next day, it didn't seem like those demons had found out about it yet so he put up some barriers that can alert him whenever someone approach her and left.

Ella spend her days learning how to control the energy inside her. She had made up her mind, If he wouldn't take it from her no matter what, than she'll give it back to him by herself.

Ella always learned to use how to use the power and make it her own, make it stable inside her but never once did she tried to get it out of her. She was not able to feel his power inside her anymore so she thought that it was taken back but now it seemed like the power had hidden itself inside her and protecting her and making sure that it's sole purpose was restricting her own powers from growing and cleansing it slowly.

But no matter how much she tried it looked like the power no longer followed her will, it was following Al's orders.

She sat up and was going to make lunch but there came a knock on the door. She tried to avoid it at first thinking it was some neighbors but the ringing persists.

She thought ' Old Li said the neighbors won't come here and those people will not knock so who is it? '

With a bread spread with fruits jam on her mouth she went to check through the peep hole.

It was Xerven with his ever bright smile. Ella frowned a bit and opened the door, " Didn't the old man told you not to come here. "

Xerven still with his smile said, " Aww, don't be so mean, I came to visit you because I thought you must be lonely alone. "

Ella stood firm at the door and said, " I'm not lonely and right now I'll very much like to be alone so go back if you have no other business. "

" Why? Can we not even be friends? " Xerven asked.

She looked at him a bit impatiently, " No, Al don't like it when you're with me and I don't wanna make him angry just because of you. "

He smirked, " But he's not here thought, and I heard you fought. "

Ella sigh, " We didn't, I just decided to take some time alone to think. "

Xerven chuckled a bit and said, " Fine, here here's my number, if you have any problem, feel free to call me, I'll be right there. "

He hand her a piece of paper containing his number and she looked at it and said, " No need. "

But he shoved it to her and waved his hand and left, " Bye Ella, I'll be back again. "

Ella shut the door and threw the paper containing his number on the dustbin and went to continue her breakfast.

Xerven went back and bowed to Edward, " Sorry I could not be with the princess, she seems to be on alert with everyone. "

Edward looked bored as he said, " Never mind that, the devine prince will be the one protecting her, just make sure to get them back together again. It's not good for us if they stay apart for long. "
