Chapter 16 Meira

"Father Matthew has to take over his pack since his father was murdered in the war and we are to be married so why on earth are you not letting me go to him and become his Luna?"

"Because I am the king and you are the princess that is why. You and your sisters are the only children we have and you are the eldest so that makes you next in line of the thrown. I cannot have you moving away to become Luna with Matthew. Now he can come here and help you run the kingdom, that I do not have a problem with."

"I really do not think he wants that father."

"How do you know if you don't talk with him, my little princess?"

"I am not little any longer father, how do you expect me to talk with him if I cannot go see him?"

"Oh good grief, fine you may go but not without any guards okay?"

"I can handle that and thank you."

She turned and left his office walking to her room where she would call her mate and let him know that she would be coming to him the next day. She also let him know that they needed to talk about moving forward with the mating and wedding.

Matthew was elated that she was coming to see him and stay with him for a while but was curious as to what they had to talk about besides her becoming his Luna of his pack.

Meira arrived to his pack in the afternoon the following day and he greeted her in front of the pack house. He helped her out of the car and kissed her on the lips sending sizzling bolts of sparks through out her body and his. They both got lost in each others kiss until someone had cleared their throat and gained their attention.

"Welcome to my pack my sweet darling. Come I will show you all to your rooms and Meira you will be sharing my room with me, if that is alright."

"That is fine father is not here with me and mother gives us her blessings of course." 

"What would you like to do first my love?"

"I would love to unpack first and get settled in if that is alright, then you can show me around town?"

"Of course darling we will do that. I will help you unpack and show you where the closet is."

He took her to his room then showed her guards where they would be staying which would be across the hall from them. He has an entire wing to himself since he is now the alpha and his mother left to go visit her sister in another pack since her husband was killed.

While he was out showing her guards their rooms she used some of her magic to unpack her clothes and put her toiletries away in the bathroom. When Matthew entered he was surprised to see that she was nearly done unpacking but was happy about it so that they could spend more time together. 

"Now that you are done my love let's go walk around the town and meet some of the pack members."

"Thant would be wonderful I am excited about meeting them Matthew."

"Do your guards have to come along with us? I mean I am there to protect you and I have my own warriors that will guard you."

"I know you do and they will once they get to know me but it's fathers request so I have no choice plus I am next to take the thrown as queen of the our kingdom."

"Aren't there any brothers to take your place?"

"No, actually I am the eldest of four sisters so by birthright I will be taking the thrown and ruling all kingdoms which includes your pack."

"Wow, that is a lot to take in. I mean I know you are the princess and all but did not realize that you would actually take over the entire kingdom."

They continue to walk around the kingdom and do a little shopping here and there. They stopped and had some lunch along the way and then went to an ice cream shop for dessert. Meira was enjoying herself learning about the town and the pack. Matthew was very well respected just like his parents were when they were in the pack and running it. They would give their condolences to Matthew and tell him how much they loved his father and how grateful they are to have him as their alpha now. 

That made Meira feel good about being the Luna of the pack but she quickly made her face stoic to the others because she has to go back and rule the entire kingdom. She did not know exactly how Matthew would take this news but figured there was plenty of time to talk about that before she had to return. 

"Darling what is on your mind?"

"Oh, nothing love it can wait till later. I am enjoying our time together learning about your pack and meeting everyone."

"That is good darling. They love you too I can tell, and they know that you are the princess of the kingdom and next to take the thrown."

"Ugh, I was hoping they would not notice me. I don't want any ill responses about it and what may or may not happen."

"I know darling but no matter what I will be with you every step of the way."

"You will be? Even if father demands I have to take over the kingdom as well as my mate?"

"Yes darling I know what the consequences are being mated to the princess of the kingdom."

"What about your pack? What will happen to them?"

"Lets drop it for now and talk about this when we get back to the pack house and to our room ok?"

"Yes dear, let us do that."

They continued to walk around and watched the pups play around the playground in the park with their families. The pups came running up to her wrapping their arms around her hugging her telling her how pretty she is and how excited they are to meet the future queen of the kingdom.

When they arrive back at the pack house they went up to their room to rest for a little while before getting ready for dinner. She settled herself on the soft comfortable bed and fell right to sleep. Matthew laid beside her and watched her and pulled a blanket over them both and snuggled up next to her. Their wolves connected the entire day and was very content being with next to each other. 

A few hours later there was a slight knock at the door and Matthew new it was his beta to come let them know that dinner would be served in an hour which would give them time to get freshened up and changed. He went back to bed and snuggled again against the crook of her neck kissing it lightly while rubbing his hand up and down her arm and across her chest feeling her breast. She stirred a little and started to wake up turning slightly looking up at her mate.

"Mhhmmm, that feels so nice please don't stop."

"I wish we could just stay like this forever it feels so nice to be near you darling but we must get up, shower and change for dinner."

"Why must we do that right now?"

"I don't want you starve and I can tell by the rumbling in your tummy it would beg to differ. Kinda sounds a little hangry to me."

She cracks up laughing as her tummy makes an extremely loud noise letting her know it's time to get up and get going. They took a shower together so that it would not waste time or water and dressed for dinner. She put on a pretty pale pink dress that was lower in the back with a cowl neck draped in front. Her hair was pinned up in a side bun with a pearl hair pin.

"Darling you look stunning in that gown."

"Thank you love. I didn't know what was your favorite color so I just took a chance with a pale pink."

"My favorite color is blue, green and silver. But that color looks good on you."

"Well then I think I will change to one of your favorite colors."

She closed her eyes and thought of the color Royal Blue with silver jewelry and heels and bam she was in the same outfit but different color. He looked at her stunned and he had a hard time controlling the lust in his eyes. His wolf was wanting to come out.

"H..how did you do that? Are you a witch?"

"Mhmm, yes I am love but we are good witches, my family is. We really do not practice anything but the changing of clothes or if we don't want to do the house chores that mom and dad made us girls do we used our magic. It was and is quite fun to do that." She laughs telling him.

"Wow, you will have to show me how to do that. Some of my pack members practice magic too."

"Really? Which ones? I need to get with them and see what they know."

He nods his head and they walk out the door and down the stairs to the dinning room where the beta and his family are awaiting for them as well as the gamma and delta and their families. They are introduced to their new Luna and talk about what will be happening among the pack. Once they are mated and take their vows.

Matthew introduced the other witches to their Luna and they were pleased to see that she too was not only a witch but a wolf as well. She will be held in high regards as she already has control over her magic. She uses her magic for protection and for fun but nothing else. She does not teach others of magic as she does not trust them since it can be used for evil and that is the last thing she wants held every her head.

She remains in the pack a few more weeks but not going without mating with Matthew. They are deeply in love with each other as mates should be.

After the matting process is complete they return to the castle and Matthew has his fathers beta run the pack for a bit until he returns in a few days. 

"Daughter what have you decided?"

"We are fully mated father. I will spend my time with him at his pack."

"You will do no such thing! You are the princess and will remain here and take over as queen."

The debating goes on for some time while Matthew and his mother-in-law get to know each other better.

"I know you two bare the marks of your pack but I guarantee that the king will refuse this and will not let Meira return to your pack to rule by your side."

"Why not? Is it not her decision to be mated with me?"

"Yes I agree with you I know her father, he will not allow it."

"Is this because she is the first in line to take over?"

"Yes since she only has sisters it is. There is no pack that lives here but if we can talk the king letting you run the kingdom while running your pack it may work."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean bring your pack members here to live there is plenty of ground we own and they will be part of the royalty party working with you and for you just like they do now. You can give your land and housing to those that do not have any to go to and let them become a pack as long as they follow the rules of the kingdom."

"Ohhhh, I get it now. I can let all those alphas' who have retired live in my territory and homes as wells their betas, gammas and deltas. It would be like a little retirement community with some guards to protect them for security. They are young enough to fight but old enough to give their pups some space to run their own packs. Linda you're  wonderful."

With that he left to find his mate who is still having a debate with her father. He must tell them of the solution which would pacify both him, his mate and the king. He knocks on the door and walks in since they do not hear him knocking. He walks into a king that is half shifted as well as his daughter/mate who is also half shifted. She was tired of his words and Matthew new if he did not do anything soon it would be bad for both of them.

"Meira, darling, calm down, you don't want to do this to your father trust me. I have a solution I know you will like, well, both of you will like."

"What is it darling? I cannot be like this and father is being a stubborn old mule about us being mated and not taking over the thrown."

"Ahh, I see, well there is great news darling."

"Really love what is the news you need to tell me/us?"

"I am still going to be alpha to my pack but also be the king and rule here. I will have my pack move here that way they are more protected and guarded, not that they were before, however the homes and land I have will be used for all packs that have retired alphas, betas, gammas, deltas, warriors and such along with their mates. There is plenty of room for them and more homes can be built. It is a perfect solution and your sisters can stay here and work if they don't have mates or even if they do they still can reside here. I do not have a problem with that at all."

"YES! Perfect solution for us to rule the kingdom. Oh how I love you Matthew."

With that being settled he went home and had a pack meeting and they were all up for the move and a new start with a new beginning. Needless to say the entire pack members started to pack up their homes so they could move that week.
