Chapter 17 Children

Matthew helped his pack move into the new homes in the kingdom and get jobs those that wanted to go did so and only a few did not move as they were to old to move and were happy to stay where they were living but Matthew and other retired alphas made sure that all would be taken care of. Since the alphas and betas are still young enough to travel and fight they helped take care of the new land that was given to them by their new king.
"Matthew I have some good news love."
"What is it darling?"
"We are going to have a baby. I feel it's going to be a boy our first born and he will take over as king when the time comes."
"My darling I am so elated I cannot wait to meet our son or daughter."
"We will have more don't worry and they all will be great at ruling our kingdom and helping other packs grow and becoming the best they can be."
Matthew is elated and announces his next heir to the kingdom with pride. He and his beloved are invited to a nearby pack for a matting/wedding ceremony of their own. They go to The BItteridge Pride pack and see Shane and Libby have their ceremony and wedding. Shane also takes over his fathers pack at the same time. They King and Queen stay for a couple days and get to know the pack a little better and draw a stronger alliance with the packs that have come around for the ceremony as well.
Three weeks later they get word that Libby was pregnant with their first pup and everyone was ecstatic too. Her spouse is very happy that he will be a father very soon, in fact both women should give birth to their pups around the same time but only a few weeks apart. They will go to school together which will help bring their packs together and become even stronger.
Libby and Shanes first born was male and they named him Felix. Meira's and Matthew's baby boy name is Addison. The boys grew up together knowing each other but Felix was a mean little brat when he was little going to kindergarten he gave all kinds of ruckus to his teachers.
Came along Clara six years later leaving her the only child at home during the day while Addison was away at school. The following year her brother was born, so now Clara had a playmate but that only lasted for a short period. Something happened between the alphas that made Matthew turn against his wife on the surface.
He had to protect her and his children but wanted to keep the children at the castle to raise himself. Meira would not see to this so he sent her away to her mothers pack for safety.
"Why must I go away to family Matthew? I do not understand?"
"It's for your safety and enough with the questioning. I want all the children to stay here with me so that I may protect them."
"NO! You will not take my children away from me Matthew they need me and you together."
"Go pack your bags now your ride will be waiting out front."
She does as he says but she has other things in mind. She blocks the link to him and links her sisters' and tell them what is happening and they come running to her to help her pack. They make a plan to keep one of the children but not the other two. She goes to Addison's room and finds him sitting there doing his homework.
"Honey, daddy is sending me away to grandma's pack and he wants you to stay here with him so that he can train you to become the next king."
"Mommy, I don't want to be the next king."
"Why not my son?"
"I want to become a warrior, the best warrior ever lived and protect you and my sister."
"Oh I see, well you still can do that and be king to you know."
"NO! I want to go with you. Daddy is not sending you away to protect you anyway. He's cheating on you mommy and I caught him that is why he wants to keep all of us here and make you go away."
"Oh now come on sweetheart, daddy would never cheat on me."
"But he did and I do not want to stay here with him. He hurt me when he saw me walking in on him and another woman having you know what."
"What? Having ummm...sex?"
"Yes mommy they were butt ass naked and she was screaming how much she loved him and his you know what (points down to his crotch)."
She hides her giggles and tells him to pack all his things as he will be leaving as well and not to tell anybody specially Clara. She has her sisters pack Ashtons things up too since he was just a baby still and not quite a year old just yet. Clara was a year and half old still needing her mother but she had to leave one child behind. Meira wrote her daughter a letter telling her what had happened and to come find her secretly and she would tell her what happened.
She went to see Clara who was napping in her big girl bed surrounded by her stuffed animals and lightly snoring. She looked like an angel sprawled all out on her bed. One of her sisters came in and hugged her around Meira's waist.
"I know that our brothers died protecting us and our pack awhile back and you got thrown into this world but this is OUR kingdom not his. He married into it not the other way around and you need to figure out how to kick him out and keep it for yourself and your children who are the rightful heirs to the thrown."
"I never thought he would kick me out. You know Addison told me he walked in on Matthew f*****g another woman and that is why he wants me out of here so that he can replace me with her. But he wants all the kids here. I got news he won't get any of them but Clara will be next in line and I need you and the others to take care of her and train her to take over her fathers thrown when the time is right. Also, I need you to send her my way so that we can train her to to the be highest princess/queen warrior but secretly and keep every tab you can on Matthew.
Everything he says and does I want to know so that I can take him out. Tell Clara when the time is right about us and two of our brothers will be her personal guards when they are old enough and trained warriors too. Understood?"
"Yes, I agree to take care of her and watch out for her as well train her in magic. She's already showing our witchery ways but she needs to be physically capable to fight. I'll make sure she gets to see you everyday when she is old enough let her come by herself. She will know the way."
She sheds tears of pain and hatred towards her husband the king wondering how he could betray her and her family like this so soon. They are mates given to each other by the Moon Goddess herself. She knows deep down Selene is upset with Matthew and there will be consequences made.
Meira left but had the car pull to a stop outside the territory so that she could fetch both her sons from her sisters care while their mates stood watch to make sure nobody was following them. News spread like wild fire through out the land that the king kicked out his queen for another woman and they lost disrespect for him but not for the queen and her children.
All the other packs vowed to make sure that the kids would be taken care of including the queen and they sent message to her and set her up with a pack of their own that she could protect with her magic. She did so and only left when she needed to see her husband when he sequestered to see her. With their last rendezvous he got her pregnant again with another daughter that he did not know about and never would.
