Chapter 7

Zara's Pov

He looked at me with his blue eyes and all I could do is cry as silent tears freed themselves and painted my face.

"Is everything okay, do you want to go with these people.?"

I heard him say from above me, I just met this guy and already he is doing a lot for me and he has seen almost all my valnerable moments.

To answer him, I just shook my head. I didn't want to go with them, I didn't want to face all my troubles again. He looked so beautiful as I looked intently into his blue eyes for what seemed like a really long time. His eyebrows were thick and full, doing their perfect job at making their presence with elegance on his precious face . I could get lost in his eyes, I feel drawn to his eyes and I've been sucked in by them.

" Hey did you hear me?"

I jerked back into reality as he dismissed my thoughts and brought me to my senses. He had a way of making everything the centre of attraction with his powerful voice. How do I know that if I'm agreeing to the very thing that might actually kill me or force me to stay as a rejected slave my entire life. No one would help me if that would ever happen.

" Yes, I heard you. I don't want to go with them, I'd rather stay with you.""

I tried to sound determined but my voice failed me.

" very well then" He said with a low voice.

" I think is time for you kids to heard home now." His voice sent chills to me.

"yes sir, but we can't leave without her, just release her to us and we will definitely leave your place"

" She is not going anywhere with you"

" But sir, our future Alpha and her mate wants her back to the pack, he won't be happy if we left her here."

He growled so hard that his chest were vibrating and the grown shook as he held me tighter.

" I said she is not going anywhere and if you don't leave this second you will not like what I will do to you and as for your stupid future Alpha he doesn't have a mate as he has already rejected her"

He said with gritted teeth and I could see his knuckles turning white as his fists balled. But wait how did he know that I was rejected, did he listened to our conversation, oh! I forgot the devil Melisa has mentioned it to him few minutes ago.

" Dave I think we should go I don't want any troubles, let's just leave we will tell Alpha that we didn't see her. Mandy said her feets shaking. So he really wanted me back but the question is as what? his mate or slave?. He must be crazy if he thinks I would continue being his slave or the pack' s punching bag.

" But Mandy she will be causing troubles for all of us we have to take her back."

The stupid Melisa said and that's when he took a step forward with me at his back, he moved with so much menacing emphasis in every step he took and they started to run away without looking back, I guess I was not the only one who was scared of his physiques .

After they left I released my hold on his arm, I wonder how he was not affected by my hold and I know my fingernails were gripping his arm. I looked up at him and said thank you but instead of him responding me , he shook his head and gestured me to follow him.

It didn't take that long to reach the cabin and when we opened the door , the smell of food greeted us and my stomach decided to embarrass me even more by growling even harder. He turned around and looked at me with intensity in his eyes. I lowered my head too embarrassed to even look at him. I just realised that I haven't eaten anything since yesterday and whatever it is that was been made smelled delicious and it instantly made me hungry.

"You are finally here, I thought to make you something to eat ,you must be hungry."

"Yes thank you....."

I said to the beautiful guy that came to the door,I didn't know his name I just stared at him like an i***t even the grumpy man beside me growled a bit.

" Come sit down , my name is Davon and you are.?"

he asked while looking at his friend, I assumed they were friends and their auras do Match but the grumpy one his is too much.

" Zara .....my name is Zara"

" it's good to meet you Zara, breakfast is this way "

He gestured me towards the dining room and what I saw was all the delicacy that I have never thought that I would be the one eating them. I sit down and start fishing out some food on my plate, eating them instantly. Davin sounded like a lively one , I had seen him smile couple of times since I was here, something I haven't seen the grumpy one do. Davon looked more approachable so I had sat next to him during breakfast. Everyone was eating while both of them talked about what Goddess knows as I was concentrating on my food and my thoughts.

" so where are from Zara"

I was brought back to the room when Davon spoke.

" Oh I'm ........"

I trailed of not knowing what to say.

" What's wrong is it difficult to mention where you are from?."

The grumpy one spoke , his voice laced with annoyance and I can sense anger too.

" No it's not like that , I was hoping not to be asked as it reminds me of my past."

I spoke twisting my hands as I put them under the table to hide them as tht were shaking. I can feel their gazes on me and I decided not to look up to about them.

" Was it that bad that you can't even mention the pack name?, Anyway it's fine you don't have to say anything that makes you uncomfortable."

" Thank you Davon, I really appreciate it "

There was a terrible silence and I felt compelled to break it as I asked the most stupid question ever.

" So what job will be doing here"?

" what do you mean?"asked the grumpy

" I mean my job" I said while looking down and not facing him.

" what do you think you should be doing exactly?"

"I don't know , maybe you would be glad to have a slave under you."

I could see them trying not to laugh at me.

" I'm sorry did u say something funny, sorry I didn't mean to"

" oh no......no it's just that you are misunderstanding us" Davon said

" why would we want a slave"

" I don't know maybe because I've been a slave and I just assumed you would want me as one as well."

" maybe that a good idea as you will be keeping your own, after all we will be feeding you plus a roof over your head."

The grumpy one mentioned and fear consumed me instantly making me shake even more.
