Chapter Three: FreeAnya doesn't like being in the bright white laboratory with all the scientists who keeps poking her and plucking her feathers to see if they'll grow back and doing weird sorts of experiment with her that sometimes hurt and sometimes just feel really weird.
She likes Daddy, though. She likes it when he sneaks into her little room when nobody else is around and reads to her with the nice picture books that he brings in with him. He makes her feel nice and safe, but he's not always around and the others hurt her. She doesn't like to think about it very much.
