THE FUNERAL

Haim was in excruciating agony when he awoke. His body is always inflamed. His head hurts a lot. He awoke with a sigh of disappointment. “I'm not sure if I'm waking up. Why can't I simply die? This life, my whole life, has been a catastrophe. Why does God want to torment me? Why am I stuck in this world's hell while he might just take me to the hell of the afterlife?” Haim cried as he spoke. He was having trouble breathing. He was unable to walk freely. He was simply in horrendous pain that would not go anywhere. He did not like the way the sun came up. The morning wind irritates him. The birds' chirping kept upsetting his ears. The atmosphere was depressing. His life is f****d up, which is why the world in which he existed was devoid of beauty. Laura noticed Haim was already woke up, so she came into his room. “Excuse me for bothering you, but may I inquire as to what transpired last night? Did the perpetrator injure you in some way? “Did you catch a glimpse of his face?” Laura was the one who asked. “It's nothing,” says the speaker. It's none of your concern.” Haim was the one who responded. “No, it's not the case. My job is to track down my clients' affairs and protection when working on their cases, and I need to know what happened to you, particularly after I saw you lying down the road in your torn clothes.” Laura expressed her thoughts. Haim sighed and said, “I was just drunk and got troubled by some guys from the club nearby. It is all my fault though.” Laura expressed her concern to Haim by asking, "Are you really, okay?" I saw you were bleeding from the back.” “I'm all right. Besides, I'd acknowledged the fact that this world, my life, is a shamble. You are a detective, and after seeing my injury, I knew you knew what happened to me. Yeah, I was assaulted, so who cares? Does God really give a damn? I do not have anybody. So, no matter what happened or would happen, it doesn't make a difference because I knew I was destined to suffer!” Haim expressed his displeasure. “Please accept my heartfelt apologies, Haim. If you would like to file a lawsuit with the pub, I could arrange it for you” Laura was the one who requested. “Where did I mention I was concerned earlier?” Did I mention I was particularly worried? I don't give a damn!” Haim screamed angrily at Laura. “I apologize for saying such words at such a difficult moment, Haim. Maybe I will be able to have a proper conversation with you later. I will send you an update on the case and tell you what I have discovered so far. Pedro will deliver your breakfast in a matter of seconds. I'm going out right now.” Laura said as she walked off.   Haim had no desire to eat his meal. As a result, Pedro put the food on the table next to Haim's bunk. Haim was sobbing, but he did not cry. He was severely deranged. He is at a loss for what to do next. He also fears that it will never improve if he is briefed on the situation. He has nothing on him and knows he has no future. “Perhaps I'll only wait until my death if destiny allows me to endure and prevents me from dying with them.” Haim was referring about himself.   The investigator and the three cops talk about what they are thinking. “I believe Haim has had enough.” Kane remarked. “I concur. He had already been through a lot. I don't want him to die, but if I were him, I'd accept it after all that has happened.” James stated his opinion. “However, I am aware that there is always a purpose. It will always be the way. I sincerely hope Haim receives the justice he deserves. Yes, he had enough, but all we can do now is hope for his courage and stamina while he endures his harsh life.” Pedro reacted. “I will do everything in my power to ensure that Haim receives justice, and I will personally deliver it to him. Regardless of what happens, I will never give up. The criminal lacked the morality to commit such atrocities, and Haim did not deserve any of his current sufferings. I swear on my soul that Haim will be brought to justice no matter what.” To the three officers, Laura said. “Wow!” says the speaker. “Detective Laura, you are a fantastic investigator. I applaud you for it, but please include us in your mission. We told Haim last night, even though we were both intoxicated, that we would dedicate ourselves to being Sir Haim's companion in his lonely life, and that as friends, we would assist him in obtaining justice. We could not make our friend feel like this because it was causing us pain as well.” While the two officers agreed to Pedro's request, he added. “Let us work together to assist Haim and get him to justice!” Laura expressed herself with a lot of enthusiasm. The three officers decided, “YES MA'AM!”   On the other hand, the personal secretary of the De la Cruz family comes to his way to the safe house and visits Haim. “Hello, officers, and investigator Laura, good morning. Might I inquire as to whether Mr. Haim has already been awakened? The secretary had inquired. “Oh, my good grief! Secretary Jason Rodriguez, it is you. Haim awoke earlier, but I don't think he's in a good mood right now, so why do you ask?” Laura was the one who replied. “It's for the family's funeral. Mr. Haim must attend the funeral because there are some significant visitors and he must also face the families of the servants who died, despite the fact that he was just the De la Cruz heir. Everyone respects the family, and as their personal secretary who has dedicated my life to serving them, I must uphold that respect.” Jason, the Secretary, said. “Is that right, but I don't believe he would accompany you. He is not in the mood right now, just as I said earlier.” Laura the one who replied. “I'll go get him on my own. This is a really significant issue. If the case might be, he will follow through. Please excuse me while I go get him.” While accessing the safe house to retrieve Haim, Jason said. Laura saw Haim and Secretary Jason exiting the safe house after a moment. She was astounded that Jason could persuade Haim, but she was also intrigued by what Jason said to him. As a result, Haim entered the car where Jason had exited without saying anything, while Jason prepared everything for Haim.   Laura, on the other hand, was still skeptical about what she had just seen. “How come, even though Haim was in such a miserable mood, he managed to persuade Haim to accompany him?” Laura inquired enquiringly. The three officers were all taken aback by what they saw, so they could not react. “I'll attend the funeral as well and see what happens with them, while you three will take a break.” The three officers are given orders by Laura. “Detective, yes!” The three replied.   While riding in the car, Secretary Jason briefed Haim on what he should expect and do at the funeral. “As soon as you reach the room, you can do nothing. You would never say such things, even and regardless of what happens. You will simply make your presence known to the audience. You should weep, but not excessively. They must see that you cared for more than just your family; they must see that you cared for the victims who died that night, so you would do nothing to accept anything they do to you. Finally, maintain a polite demeanor. That is what there is to it.” Jason addressed Haim. The funeral was more than just a burial; it was a major De la Cruz family scandal. So, Haim, with the assistance of Secretary Jason, must succeed in restoring the wealthy family's image in some way.
