CHAPTER 2- SHE IS NOT

1786 Words
GRACE Since my encounter with the big dog that turned out to be a wolf, my day has been normal. I work in my father's company. I’m handling the business importations from Hong Kong. We have been working with them for quite some time now. I did my internships here, so it’s not that new for me, but still, it's a lot of work. At seven I was ready to leave, so I organized my desk and made the to-do list for tomorrow. Arriving home, I noticed Noah’s car was still not there, so I grabbed Max’s leash and put it on. I decided to leave Milo at home since the last time I took both at the same time was not my brightest idea. A Doberman and a German shepherd are much stronger and heavier than my 112 pounds. Max is a year older than Milo, but Max is smaller than a normal Doberman, so Milo is bigger than him. The stroll was good, no stray dogs were in sight and Max obeyed most of the orders given. We arrived back home and as I was entering, Belle ran through the door as if it was no tomorrow and hid under the car. I put Max in the back with Milo and went back to look for Belle. I lay down on the floor and started looking down at the car for the reddish fur of Belle. -I could get used to this sight. I was surprised at the sudden voice and hit my head hard with the car. More carefully, I got myself out of the down part of the car and looked at my boyfriend standing there with a big smile, a box of pizza, and a pack of beers in the other hand. -Well, my sight is not that bad either. I winked at him and he just laughed in return, so I rolled my eyes. He put the beer down and extended his hand. I took it and he helped me stand up. -So, are you checking something in your car? Is it making that noise again? -No, but Belle ran as soon as I opened the door and… -Told you! She wants to leave outside. Just let her. I gave him a pinch on the arm and just gave him a deadly glare. -She doesn't but she is fast, so help me find her. -She is at the door. I turned around and saw my beautiful Belle at the door waiting. -She knows we have food and will do everything to have some for herself like always. -I know Noah, but could you say no to this little face? I said as I picked her up and made puppy eyes at him. I saw him pick up the beers and we entered our home and started eating the pizza. Dinner was normal. Noah decided to watch a soccer match on TV so there was not a lot of talking. I gave Belle some cat treats that kept her busy, and my thoughts were traveling to that wolf, with beautiful black fur, but what left a great impression on me were his eyes. They were so full of emotion, so humanly like, it made me feel… “safe?” No that’s not the word I’m looking for, it was complicated. -That’s so not a penalty! Is he blind? I was so surprised at the sudden shout that I almost spilled the whole can of beer on the table. I looked at Bell and she had her hair standing up like a Halloween cat. -Baby are you listening to me? That surprised me even more and, not having anything to say, I just assertively moved my head and tried my hardest to see the soccer match for future questions. . . . ZACHARY It’s been a week since we saw the girl, and Kygo is getting impatient. “Stop pacing in my mind, it’s driving me crazy” “I want to see mate.” “I told you she is not our mate” “She is!” “No! What she is, is a mere simple breakable human. So stop saying stuff like that and try to find a suitable Luna for the kingdom” “No, I want our mate, we found her, we need to go back” “You hated that place, Kygo so just stop pacing. I don’t need a load of crazy now”. -Alpha king, have you been listening to me? Damn, I completely forgot that the daughter of the Iron Fang pack was walking with me. “Kygo what was she saying?” “Don’t know, don’t care, not mate.” Great, a clingy she-wolf and a stubborn wolf as companions in this walk. -If you don’t remember, you will have to kiss me as an apology. I realized she was too close to my face, I could see her pretty blue eyes and a flashback of the brown eyes appeared in my mind and instinctively I pushed her off. -Don’t get too comfortable with me, you may be alpha blood, but I’m still your king. I used my alpha king tone so she could receive the message loud and clear. I was so pissed off, not about the kiss, but because I knew that by just remembering those eyes, I wouldn’t be able to take them out of my head, at least for the rest of the day. Instantly, I started running and let Kygo take control, tearing my clothes as the transformation went. I started to feel the breeze of the ocean and just kept running until I finished making territory recognition. At the borderline, I sensed a strange smell, rotten skin, “Rouges” “I know Kygo, can you count them.” “Just three, and there is another smell but not a rouge, and he or she is hurt.” “What are we waiting for!” I started running even faster, and in minutes I saw the three rogues hunting a small male wolf. “Zac it’s a little pup!” “I would take down the wolves, you try to communicate with the kid’s wolf and tell him we mean no harm” “Yes” This is what I needed, thanks to the Moon Goddess for answering my prayers. I howled to get the three rogues’ attention and went directly to the nearer one, biting his neck until hot metal liquid dripped from my mouth and his body was limp. The other two were so in shock that I decided to push both with my body. I was so much bigger than them that it was not even hard. What's the fun in killing them fast? The brown one got up and ran in the opposite direction. “I have already spoken to the kid and he is running to the packhouse. He will probably pass Hitch, Red, and the reinforcements that are coming… you got a runner at your twelve Zac” Kygo was speaking in my head meanwhile I was fighting the reddish wolf behind my back. “I know Kygo, but kind of busy right now”. “Okay, I will inform Hitch and Red”. Just as Kygo stopped speaking, Red appeared and took the wolf off my back. -“The problems of being too big Alpha?” I heard Kevin’s voice through the link -“But don't worry Red and I got this one. Nelson and Hitch are already tracking the runner” I felt Kygo rolling his eyes at the answer, “Should we go back?" As I turned around, I saw Red already killing the other wolf. -“Nelson, how is your chase going?” I said through the link. -“I already finished the job Alpha, on my way to Iron Fang Pack land.” I decided to do the same thing and started walking to the pack territory. Just entering, I found a pair of pants and a shirt. The shirt was too small but the pants were okay, so I transformed into my human form. Hitch was the first one to arrive. He had clear white fur with a brownish mask, and clear blue eyes, he also entered the trees looking for clothes. Seconds later, Red appeared, his fur was tabby grey and brown fur and he already had a pair of pants and a shirt on his muzzle, so he decided to transform in plain sight. Don't get me wrong, being a werewolf is great, but looking at your friends completely naked every time they change back it's not a great sight. -Kevin! We had this talk already! Can you shift at least behind a tree and get dressed before coming out? Is that too much to ask? Nelson was walking with a deadly glare, his long black hair resting on his right shoulder and his nose was so wrinkled by the face he was making the freckles look more like a big dot. I kept my poker face and just looked to where I heard steps getting close. -Alpha king, thank you so much for saving my younger son and heir to this pack from those rouges. The Alpha of the Iron Fang was walking toward me with two warriors, one on the right and the other near the little wolf I saw. Now that I looked at him, he was brown with black front paws. Most alpha blood descendants have black in their fur but the amount is minimal. “He is still in wolf form Kygo” “Yes when his wolf smelled the rogues he panicked and obliged the kid to shift. It probably hurt so much that they would stay in that form at least for a few more hours.” We as werewolves can transform into wolves at a young age, but the first transformation hurts so much that we avoid it till we get used to the pain, it takes at least sixteen years for the pain to be bearable but in some cases, it can take even more time for that. -As a way of gratitude, my daughter and other she-wolves will dance for you and your companions tonight at dinner. The daughter looked kind of afraid of her father's words, proof that my command worked on her. “Who says that's a sight I want to see” “Come on Kygo, we still can enjoy the show of a bunch of she-wolves dancing for our attention”. But just as I was saying those words, a pair of brown eyes were still stuck in my head.
