CHAPTER 15- NOT MY LIFE

GRACE

I pushed him off.

    -Stop touching me! 

    -Why are you acting this way?

    -Me? Why are you touching me and kissing me and then turn to a monster that crushes phones!

I looked at him directly in the eyes, I felt the heat in my veins. Then I saw his expression changing.

-Grace you have ears.

-I know I have ears, is that the only thing you can say in your own defense?

-No, not like human ears but you have cat ears in your head.

I stood up and ran to the mirror, and indeed I had cat ears in my head. Great, first I couldn't move my body and now i got cat ears.

    -Zac how do I make them go away?

    -I don't know, werewolves don't have that ability.

    -You call this an ability! This is not an ability! This is a curse! This is not my life! Give me back my life!

I felt tears sliding through my cheeks. I cover my eyes with my hands and fell on my knees to the floor. I felt electric shocks in my back.

    -Stop touching me!

I looked at him, he looked hurt.

    -You don't have the cat ears now.

I stood up and saw myself I looked normal. Finally normal. “Sorry Grace, I also got mad because of the phone and I think our emotions mixed.” I looked at myself again in the mirror. “Well I least I look normal, but I still have you in my head Anri.” “Yes, right now you are in a complete human body.” “Anri, do you plan to stay in my head forever?” “It's not like I have a choice.”

    -Zac is there a way to turn the other voice down? Or get rid of it?

    -What other voice? We are alone here.

Zac looked around the room.

    -I know, but the voice of the leopard inside my head…

    -You have a leopard voice inside your head? Like a different mind than yours? Can you communicate with her? Kygo wants to know her or his name? Also is the voice a she or a he? 

    -Why is that important? How do I get rid of it?

    -You can't, she or he is you, or something like that.

    -Really! I really can’t? But it drives me nuts.

    -Yes, that happens sometimes, but then you will start to know each other and the bond will grow stronger until you are an unstoppable team.

    -Do you also have this voice inside your head?

    -Yes, he is the black wolf, but you already know him. His name is Kygo. He is part of me as I am part of him, but we are not one. He has his own mind, and I have my own although sometimes feelings can get mixed or confused for one or other.

    -Everyone have their own wolf?

    -Yes, Sabrina has Rose, Kevin has Red, and Nelson has Hitch. Each wolf have their own personalities and thoughts apart from ours.

I couldn't believe that the people who I lived had this big secret, and how do they hide it. I don't have one hour with Anri and I'm already driving myself nuts. “You know Grace, it's really rude to try to get rid of me. I have been with you your whole life, now just because you and I understand we are different beings you want to leave me? That's not fair. Maybe you should be the one going?” I felt my skin turn cold.

    -Zac is there a way for her to get rid of me?

    -No, you are two minds in one brain. You can't get rid of her and she can't get rid of you.

“So we are stuck with each other?” “It looks like it Anri.” I saw Miller smile.

    -Why are you smiling?

    -You two are already becoming friends?

    -Not really, but more like trying to understand that this is not a dream and I’m not waking up from this nightmare.

He laughs and my heart skipped a beat. I put my hand in my chest and felt Anri starting to purr. “Don't purr!” “I can't help it, he makes me happy.” “Why?” “I don't know, by just been near me I relax.” “Do you like him?” “Not sure...”

    -What are you both talking about? Me?

I blushed to his comment.

    -No, I just want to know when I’m able to go back home.

His face suddenly change, the happy smile and relaxed eyes turned angry and colder.

    -I already told you, until you remember everything, you are staying here.

    -I already did.

He looked at me, his eyes turned dull and clearer some seconds, and then returned to normal.

    -Why do your eyes change color?

He looked confused.

    -What did you mean?

    -Some seconds ago they looked clearer and dull.

-You can see that, since when?

-Not sure, I think the first time I notice was before I knew you could transform to a wolf.

-Humans can't see that changes, so you were special since then.

-What does that have to do with the change of color of your eyes?

-They change when we link other human or wolf. To speak with Kygo my eyes stay the same, the change is when I speak with Kevin, Nelson or someone through the link. Or when Kygo is speaking with Red, Rose, Hitch… But forget that, you say that you remember everything?

-Yes.

-How? I already asked Sabrina and she has no idea that you knew something.

-I just did… That´s what you were doing now? Talking to Sabrina through the link?

-Yes but..

-Can I do that also?

-Not sure, you are not a werewolf and also if you were you are not part of the pack or the kingdom.

-Kingdom?

-Baby steps. How did you remember?

-I dreamed about that night.

Chills ran through my body when I remembered the dead girl.

    -I transformed to Anri and then I killed a girl. I remember the smell of blood, I remember seeing you and Sabrina. I remember the talks about me being a Felinet and also being your mate…

    -You know you are my mate!

He ran to me and lifts me from the floor and spin me around the room. Sparks were flying all over my body. Anri started to purr. 

    -Let me down!

He looked confused and stopped. As soon my feet touched the floor I pushed his hands of my body and back off.

    -What happened?

    -Why did you do that! Stop touching me! I have a boyfriend!

His eyes turned black and his body started to vibrate fast and hard.

    -YOU ARE MINE!

The words sounded more like a growl than a scream. I don't know why but I just lowered my head.

    -THAT STUPID HUMAN MEANS NOTHING!

“Did he just implied Noah is a stupid human?” Anri’s voice sounded angry, my blood started to boil and felt a sudden heat stroke my skin. “How does he dare to say that, that human is mine and isn’t stupid!” I didn't knew what was happening, but my fear was replaced with a lot of anger. I stand tall and looked him directly in the eyes.

    -You are the one that means nothing.

I heard my voice? But it was not mine at the same time. I looked at myself from the mirror and my eyes were yellow and my pupil was not round, it looked like a cat’s. Looking more to my reflection I notice and I had cat ears. I returned my attention to myself and notice I was still saying things to Miller. “Anri give my body back!” “No until he apologizes for calling Noah stupid!” “Do you know Noah?” “Of course I know him, I love him with all my heart.” “So do I… Okay, but when he apologize you give my body back.” “Deal.” I return my attention to Miller. His hair was bristling. “Anri I think he is about to explode.” “I can fight him any time!” As soon as Anri said those words he started to shift. His clothes started to rip and black thick hair started to grow. His face got misshaped and soon he looked more like a wolf than a human. When finishing the transformation, he growled. “Anri I'm scared.” “Don't worry, two can play that game.” She started to run through the RV until she reached the exit. Miller was right behind us. She then started to climb a tree. 

    -Wolfs can’t climb! 

I looked at my hands and my nails were longer and sharper. “What are you doing to my body?” I felt a hard shake. Looking down I saw Miller trying to bring the tree down. “OMG Anri! Miller is trying to kill us.” “Let him try.” She sounded like if she was having the best time of her life. She took some pines and started to throw them at Millers head. He got angrier and the shake turned more aggressive. “Stop that Anri, you are making him madder!” The tree started to fall, but a soon the tree moved Anri jumped to the nearer tree. Sabrina appeared in human form.

    -Grace can we talk!

Anri jumped down the tree. Sabrina stepped back and looked at Miller, her eyes and the wolf got dull. “They are speaking through the link.” I felt my blood boil even more.

    -You two wolves, don't you know it's rude to mind link in front of someone?

I saw Sabrina took a step back and rise his hands.

    -Sorry, but Zac cannot communicate with you in his wolf form…

    -Tell him to transform to his human form then.

    -He can’t, Kygo’s anger was the cause of the shift. He will stay in that form at least an hour. So I will speak for him, is that alright with you?

    -Anything is better than to speak with that beast.

The black wolf growled.

    -Sorry to ask, but you are not Grace right?

    -No, I’m Anri, and you don't need to introduce yourself. I know you are Sabrina, friend of Grace and mine.

    -Okay, can I talk to Grace?

At that instant I felt a pull to the front and when I opened my eyes I was again in control of my body. I started to move my fingers to just be sure of it.

    -Grace?

    -Yes Sabrina?

She walked to me and hugged me.

    -You're still a hugger.

She broke the hug and walked backwards.

    -Your cat ears appeared again.

I touched my head, and she was right. “Why do they appeared again, are you taking control Anri?” “No, I'm just happy.”

    -But it is still me Sabrina, we are not sure why does this happen.

    -Okay so Zac wanted to...

    -I want to go back to my life. I can't stay here no more, I already did everything you asked me to. I know everything. What I am, what I can do, what you are, and that Zac is my mate.

    -Why would you want to go if Zac is your mate! Don´t you get it! the moon goddess made you two a perfect match! Like me and Nate! You will never be as happy as with your mate!

    -I don't care what the moon goddess says! I have a boyfriend who I love! and for your information I intend to share the rest of my life with him, he is my perfect match and doesn't matter what everyone else says.

The wolf growled and disappeared between the trees.

    -Sabrina you said you will support me…

    -No Grace this is not the way things should go. You must stay here with us.

I felt as if the earth was swallowing me. I just wanted to go home. I just wanted my life back. The tears started to flow and Sabrina just looked at me and returned to the RV. I fall to the ground on my knees. I couldn't stop crying. “Grace don't worry, I’m still here.” “I want to go back to Noah, this is not my life.” “Yes, I also miss him a lot.” “We are staying here forever!” “NO! Listen to me Grace, I got a plan to get us out of here.”
