The meeting

Hailey Pov I wake up the next day remembering that I did not see neither of my friends the previous day. I decide to get some tea and go see them. "f*****g hell, this is so so wrong. What if he refuses or get mad and worst of all what if he decides to throw us in the dungeon. Then all of our life is ruined they will probably us as vamp food, drink all our blood and throw us away or they could just give us to the werewolves to chomp on, or maybe they will....." Ryan rants. "Please Ryan will you stop it. No one is getting sucked dry or chomped on, we are only going to talk to him." Arianna tries to calm Ryan down. "Who are you guys gonna talk to and who is chomping on who." I ask coming out of my room, startling the two. "No one." Ari quickly say, with a fake smile. I hesitantly give a nod silently going to the kitchen to get my tea. "Soooo. How was your night?" Ari ask trying to change the topic. I know they are hiding something from me. "It was fine and yours?" I ask. "Terrific." Ari says with that fake smile of hers. I give her a nod. "So, where were you guys yesterday." I ask looking from Ari to Ryan who haven't said a word since I came in the room. "Um I went....sight seeing." Ari said obviously telling a lie. "Hmm. Ryan was looking for you yesterday you know." I told her. "Yeah we talked." She said. I look at her again, noticing she wasn't planning on telling me the truth anytime soon. I sigh. "Drop the act Ari, what's going on." I ask. "What are you talking about. Nothing is going on." She lied, making me roll my eyes. "Drop it Ari, I can tell when you guys are hiding something." I said. "Fine." Ryan spoke. "I will tell you what's going on." Ari gesture him not to say anything. "Come on Ari. It's just Hails." He said and I nod. "That's the problem we are gonna get her in trouble too. I don't want that." She said. "Well I don't, but we don't have a choice. We need someone to watch our backs if something goes terribly wrong." Ryan argues. Ari goes silent for a while before sighing. "Fine. I will tell her myself." She tells Ryan. "Hailey the thing is, I got into trouble with a vampire a few days ago when I stabbed him. Now he is after my life, so I plan on telling one the king's counsel to get me an audience with the king." Ari rants only taking a breath after she was done. I look at both of them like they were insane. "Hailey say something." Ryan said. "Wow! So all this has been going on and no one thought to tell me?" I asked feeling hurt and pissed. "Before you get mad. I just found out last night." Ryan said making me a little less mad. "Why did you hid this from us Ari. Don't you trust us enough." I ask her, letting the hurt show on my face. "I do." She says quietly. "I just didn't wanna burden you guys with my problem." She said looking away from us. I stare at her for a while before sighing. "Okay so where are you guys going." "To meet the vampire who is supposed to help us." Ryan replies. " Okay." I nod. "Do you guys have an appointment with him already?" I asked. They both look at each other. "Not really. We are gonna stalk him and hope he agrees to talk to us." Ari said. "What?" I scream my eyes widen slightly. You are joking right. I look at both of them. Ari shakes her head. "That's the worst idea I have ever heard." I said. "Are you guys insane. He could get you arrested for that." I said. "Exactly what I keep saying." Ryan said agreeing with me, earning him an eye roll from Ari. "Whatever. You guys don't need to come along I can do this alone." She said picking up her things and walking out the door. "Fuck." Ryan cussed before running after her. "Wait, where should I meet you guys." I asked. "I will text you the address." Ryan replies. "Okay." I said, running back to my room to get dressed and follow them. ------------------------------------------ Arianna Pov We get to the east wing and hide behind one of it's pillars, waiting for him to walk passed. After like an hour of waiting. He comes out wearing a T-shirt and jeans trousers with high knee boots. "Ryan that's him." I turn to Ryan to see a disgusted look on his face. " What's wrong?" I asked. "Him." Ryan said. "He is the guy who disrespected me in the restaurant I went to yesterday just cause I am human." He tells me. "I am telling you he is not gonna help us." Ryan said. "We can at least try." I shrug. "If we go to that guy he would probably get us arrested." Ryan said trying to reason with me. "Well then so be it. I need to at least try." I said impatiently before quietly running after this creature who I still don't know what he is. We follow him to some kind of sight. After what feels like forever of watching him work he finally decides to take a break. I let out a breath of relief. "I am gonna talk to him." I tell Ryan. "Wait, we don't know if he is in a good mood. We should watch him a little bit more." He suggests. "Nope. I am done watching him. I need to try my luck." I say working up the courage to go to him. Ryan sighs. "Fine, but am going with you." He gives in. "Me too." We hear from behind, turning to see Hailey coming behind us. "Okay. Let's go." I say feeling a little bolder. We walk up to the table he was sitting. "Hi." I begin, hoping he is a calm person. "Can I help you?" He asks We look to each other. "Um, actually yes you can." I reply. "We wanted to talk to you." I said. "Okay, am listening." He said. "Well....." I hesitate. "We wanted to ask your help getting an audience with the king." He looks at us for a while. "What makes you think I could help you with that?" He asked. Well I know you part of the king's counsel." I tell him. He snorts. "Even if I could why would I help you guys." He asked. "First of all, your friend here have zero manners of approach." He said staring at Ryan. "I remember you from the coffee shop and what you did, so why on Earth would I help you guys." He asked. "Well, It's a matter of life and death." I say trying to convince him. "Still waiting for the part where you explain why I should help." He said. "Look, don't you guys have like a rule or something about not letting your people hurt humans against their will?" I ask. "We do." He replied. "Good cause one of yours tried to hurt me, but luckily I was able to defend myself and now he is after me. So please if you have a conscience you would help." I reply. He stares quiet for a while before standing up and walking away, just like that. "How rude." Ryan said.
