Planning for the ball.

I may have hugged her a little longer than I should have but I needed the contact from her. It has been so long since she last hugged me, but I cherish every hug I get.
I watched as she walked away and met up with Tundra my little brother. He always makes sure she is well protected while at school. I walk into the school and straight to the office. Everyone bowed their heads to me as I passed them. When I got to the office the principle was waiting for me so we could start planning.
“Good morning mom how are you this morning?” I walk up to my mom and give her a hug and kiss on the cheek.
“Good morning my son. I am good and how are you? You seem to be in a really good mood this morning.” She said smiling up at me.
“I am great mom Kari rode with me here this morning.” I tell her with a huge grin on my face.
“Oh that’s wonderful love. I am so happy for you.”
“Thank you. So where should we start with the planning for the ball s***h surprise party?”
“Let me get the school day started and I will meet you in the gym okay.”
“Okay mom I’ll see you in a few”
I leave her office and head toward the gym when I catch a faint hint of Kari’s smell and know she is in her home room, so I walk up to the door and look in she is sitting next to Tundra and taking notes on what ever the teacher was talking about I smile to myself and turn and start for the gym again. When I get to the gym my mom had already had the staff bring everything, we needed into the gym. So now all we had to do was choose a theme, and I had the perfect one in mind. I sat on the bleachers and waited for my mom.
About ten minutes later my mom walks into the gym and I smile at her because I am excited for her to hear my idea for the theme of the ball.
“So my son what theme should we choose for the ball?”
“I have the perfect idea for it its called midwinter nights dream. The colors would be a dark lavender to match Karis eyes and silver to match her hair.”
“I love it lets get started then.”
