Six days till the change.

(Kari)               I woke up at six in the morning to get ready for my last week of school before Christmas break. We get two whole weeks at home with my big brothers and the Alphas family. On Christmas Eve (my birthday) we will have a winter ball for the whole pack. My grandparents will even be here.             I hopped in the shower and washed my hair and body with my cotton candy shampoo and body wash. I got out of the shower and dried off then got dressed into a black tank top with my silver leather jacket, black ripped skinny jeans, and thigh high combat boots.             I straightened my hair and put on my eyeliner and lip gloss. When I left my room, I headed down to the pack house kitchen. When I got there, I noticed that there was only one other person in the fridge, and it was Leo looking for something to eat. I smiled to myself as he was wearing his usual red silk button up shirt and black dress pants.           As if he sensed me in the room his head whipped out of the fridge with a fierce look in his eyes. I put my head down at the weight of his Alpha powers.             “Good morning Leo. How are you?”             “Oh, Kari good morning. I am good thank you. I didn’t mean to startle you I’m sorry.” At this time, I look up at Leo with a smile on my face.             “It’s ok I just wasn’t expecting anyone to be down yet.”             “Yeah, I have to go to the high school and start planning for the ball. What are you doing up so early?”             “Hahaha, silly I still have a week before break starts, and school starts in a hour.”             “Oh ahahaha.”             At some point my brother Axel snuck up behind me and scooped me up and gave me a bear hug and a kiss on my head. I swore I heard Leo growl.             “Good morning little sister. Why are you up so early?”             I roll my eyes at him and told him the same thing I told Leo.                                                  “Now if you two will excuse me I need coffee and a bagel and I need to go.”             “Yes ma’am.” My brother says snickering “You want me to give you a ride? Its not the way I was heading but I don’t want you to walk alone.”             Out of nowhere we heard another growl coming from Leo. We turned and looked at him. I c****d my head to the side and gave him a funny look.             “Leo are you okay?”             As if snapping out of a trance Leo shook his head as if clearing it.             “Yeah, I’m good.”             “Yo, Leo you’re going to the high school, right? Can you give Kari a ride for me? I just don’t want her waling this early in the morning and her so close to her change next week.”             “Yeah, sure no problem. I have to go there and start planning for the ball.”             “Really!!!!” I was so excited that Leo said he would take me, but I don’t understand why it makes me so happy. “Thank you.”             “Hehehe no problem."
