BOOK OF A DETECTIVE

DETECTIVE'S MISSION

Warning: There are many error in the story. This is my first time writing a Detective Story so expect some errors in my story. Open for criticism.

Mrs. Zamora command me to bring these books to the book shelves wall at the end of this library and after I brought those books, I sat in the middle of the library wherein there's a table and a chair, while I'm reading a book of codes here, someone's calling my name from the outside of the library.

Pagmamataray ko itong tinitigan at tinaasan ng kilay na nagsasabing 'what-do-you-want-from-me?' look

She command me to get outside of the library and when I finally got outside, she told me something.

"Pinapatawag ka po ni Sir. Fernandez," nginitian ako nito at bumalik siguro sa kan'yang klase. Well, she's pretty and I got embarassed because I act like a brat a while ago but she's kind and a shy girl, yea.

Nang makarating ako sa faculty, nakita ko kaagad si Sir at nilapitan ito.

Saktong dating ko sa harapan n'ya ay hindi na n'ya ako pinagsalita pa at bagkus, s'ya na ang naunang nagsalita.

"Can you come with me, Ms. Serenity? There's a crime case across the street." When I heard those words, nabuhayan ang kaluluwa ko, yes, another crime scene again.

Inayos ni Sir ang kan'yang mga gamit sa table at tiningnan n'ya ako at nagbigay ng sign na 'tara-na' look.

Isinakay ako ni Sir sa kotse n'ya even though malapit lang naman. Nang makarating kami sa Crime Scene, agad akong pumasok dito at sumunod si sir, loob ng bahay naganap ang pangyayari.

Bumati ako sa mga pulis na nandito at sinimulan ang gagawin.

Tinitigan ko ang katawan ng dalaga na duguan at kinilatis.

"Sinong huling nakasama ng dalaga bago ang insidente?" nakatingin pa din ako sa bangkay at lumingon sa lalaking nagsalita.

"Ako po" a boy who's wearing a black tshirt with a print, white shorts with some color blacks on the side and a black casual shoes.

"Kaano-ano mo ang dalagang ito?" bumalik ang tingin ko sa bangkay ng dalaga.

"Girlfriend p—" nagulat ang lahat ng napasigaw ang — sa tingin ko'y kaibigan ng dalaga.

"EX! Ex-girlfriend!" She's staring to that man that's full of anger on her face.

"Luna, nagkausap na kami at hindi ko s'ya ex, sinab—" sasampalin sana s'ya ni — uh, yea Luna but then, napigilan ko ito.

"Would you please calm down?! This is your bestfriend right? Why don't you just be silent and cry if you want. Don't make a trouble in this crime scene, btch!" my eyes rolled and stared at the victim's body.

I heard what the police says to Sir Fernandez, "Sino 'yan Mr. Fernandez? I'm not familliar with her face" I just smirk and starts investigate this body.

"Luna and .. "

"Kolton" k.

"Luna and Kolton, kayo lang ba ang nakasama ng babaeng it— "

"I'm with her at the time of 8am to 10am." I looked at my wrist watch and checked the time.

2:56pm

"Who are you?" I looked at him from head to toe and raised my eyebrows.

"Knox, her cousin" I stared at him for a second, he's cute. Aish, nevermind.

Inikot ko ang ibaba ng bahay at pumunta sa kusina.

I saw a thing that gives a sign on who's the killer. Hmm, charcoal?

I saw an arrow pointing on something. Poster? Night Sky? A moon?

I almost decided to get out on that place but I saw a knife under the sink that full of blood. Hinawakan ko ito at pinaikot-ikot habang papalabas ng kusina.

"I.saw.this.knife.under.the.sink." I stopped in front of Knox.

"What?" he asked me.

"Nothing, I just looked at you for second" I turned around and secretly smiled.

Hindot na detective.

My face turned again into a poker face and starts walking towards Kolton.

"Is. this. from. you?" umiling ito.

"OR, from you?" and she act defensive.

"No! Why do I even do that to my bestfriend?" psh.

"Hey, chill. Calm down" I turned around and still investigate.

I saw a note under the couch.

"42-44 42-34 13-54-33-11"

a code. I decode it using my mind. I knew it!

I walk towards to that person and investigate that body.

A saw a blood on its shorts. I grabbed her arms and put it in her back.

"Handcuff this person" agad nila itong pinosasan ngunit nagpumiglas ito.

"WHAT THE FVCK?! WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME?! YOU'RE JUST A STUDENT BUT YOU ACT LIKE A GREAT DETECTIVE? OH WOW!"

"Wanna know why, Ms. Luna?" I smirked at her.

"PROVE IT!"

"A knife under the sink. It usually from yours. There's a traces of blood on your brown shorts."

"An arrow pointing on this poster with a drawing of Night Sky with MOON. Wherein Luna is a name from a Latin origin, means MOON."

"And. This note" I smiled at her bitterly.

42-44 42-34 13-54-33-11

"This is a polybius square, one of a type of codes. And I'd already decode it" I smirked.

"42 stands for I. 44 stands for T.

42 stand for I, again. 34 stands for S.

13 stands for L. 54 stands for U. 33 stands for N. and 11 stands for A. IT.IS.LUNA" I smiled at her sarcastically and turned again into poker face.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA" she laughed like an evil, tch.

"Yes! I killed her! My own BESTFRIEND! HAHAHAHAHAHA" she laughed and now she's crying. Is she a bipolar, crazy or something like.. argh!

"I like Kolton! Yes! They've been together for 3 years and I'm 3 years jealous too! THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO END UP THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND NOW, KOLTON IS MINE. MINE. MINE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" she's totally crazy.

"Don't handcuffs her." I stared at her and called the mental doctors.

"In a minute, mental nurses will be here, kindly bring her to the nearest Mental Hospital." I smiled at them and starts walking outside, but then, the police talked to me.

"Ms.." I smiled at him.

"Serenity. Serenity Scalzi, sir." I saluted and he hold my hands and put it in my side.

"No need to salute, Ms. Serenity." I just got shy, for the first time.

"Can I get your number? So that we can contact you whenever we have this kind of crime scene again." I get my phone on my pocket and give it to the police.

"You're a great detective Ms. Serenity. Pa'no mo nagagawa 'yan? Detective ba mga magulang mo?" I just smiled and replied, "None of them are detective and my parents died in a car accident 5 years ago. I'm living on my own" I smiled and bowed to that police "Gracias! I'm leaving." He patted my head and I walked to the door and starts walking outside.

"Crime Case, solved."
