Alcaide
There are so many things I would rather be doing than sitting in front of these Alphas talking about something I can't even remember. The meeting room opened revealing my beta. He ignored the looks the other Alphas gave him and strolled towards me.
" We have captured a spy" he whispered. I raised my brows in surprise. I'm still amused that other pack Alphas think they can take my place as the king. I nodded at him standing up.
" We shall continue the meeting later. I have important matters to take care of." I could see the disapproval they gave me but I ignored it. I followed my beta out of the meeting room.
" What was he doing when you saw him?" I asked, thinking of ways I could kill him for trying to spy on me. He stopped to look at me.
" It's a girl".
Interesting. They have brought a girl this time. I will make sure that I will deliver her head to whoever sent her. We reached the dungeon. My beta,Xander, opened the door just then the scent filled me up. The smell of strawberries was all over the place. I took a deep breath taking in the scent as my wolf enchanted ' Mate, mate'
That's when I saw her, she sat on the bed leaning against the wall with her legs up and her arms wrapped around it. She smelt so f*****g good.
" Wake up, Omega". Xander's harsh voice echoed through the dungeon. I growled at him. His eyes widened with surprise. I turned to look at her and my heart fell. Her eyes are wet and swollen from crying. Her body was shaking with fear. My eyes melted as I saw her innocent face. My mate is beautiful. I want to kill whoever made her cry.
I took the key from Xander and opened the cell door.
" What are you doing". he asked me but I ignored him. My main focus is on my mate. She stood up from the bed and moved to the wall as if she was creating space between us. I growled at that.
" What's your name"? I asked. My voice is soft as ever, not wanting to scare her.
" L... Lila " her beautiful voice filled my ears. I almost moaned at it. I walked closer to touch her only for her to flinch. Anger built inside me. What made my mate fear me? I turned to Xander only to see him with a shocked expression.
" She is my mate," I said to him through the mind link. I think his jaw is about to hit the floor. I'm surprised too. I've been waiting for my mate for 7 years and finally I have found her.
' But what if she is a spy?' he asked. I turned to her
" How are you in my land?" I asked her in a quiet voice, hoping not to scare her with my question.
" I ran away from my pack." she said. Her voice is so sweet and I felt myself getting hard from hearing it.
' Mark her,' my wolf said.
' Not the time. She is frightened.' I heard my wolf whining.
" Why?". I asked knowing she won't answer that. She kept quiet. I took her hand in mine and dragged her out of the cell.
' Don't tell anybody about her yet and keep Scarlet from my chambers' I mind linked Xander.
' Yes Alpha'. I took my mate to my chambers.
" Don't be scared of me mate". I said to her, grabbing her cheeks gently as if she's made of glass. She nodded
" I'm Alcaide, " I said. A blush was formed on her cheeks.
" I know that". I smiled.
" Do you want to take a shower?" There are dirties on her body that made my blood boil. She nodded and I guided her into the bathroom.
" If you need anything, tell me". She nodded again as she entered inside. I will have to teach her how to use her words.
' Get a maid to bring dinner to my chambers ' I mind linked Xander
' Yes Alpha'. My mind went back to Lila. Why did she run away from her pack? I will have to give her time to get comfortable with me before I ask her questions. If I find out they have been maltreating her, I will destroy their Alpha and the people in it. A knock came from the door. I went to open it to see a maid with dinner. She dropped the dinner on the table before bowing her head and left. The bathroom door opened and her scent filled everywhere. I'm addicted to her scent. She came out with only a towel wrap around her small frame.
'Beautiful'. My wolf said
' Indeed '.
" I don't have any clothes to wear," she said. I went to my closet and pulled out a t-shirt and shorts for her.
" Here" I gave it to her. She collected it before rushing into the bathroom to change. I smiled to myself. I finally have a mate. I thanked the moon goddess for giving me a beautiful mate. She came out a few minutes later with my shirt taking all her fame. The shorts got hidden under the large shirt. I felt myself harden just looking at her.
" Come and eat" She hesitated a little before sitting beside me. She took a full spoon into her small mouth and I wonder what it would be like if she took my c**k instead.
' No stop Alcaide' I scolded myself. I can't be thinking about that now because she has been through a lot right now.
" Thank you," she said. I nodded pushing the tray. She was too quiet.
" I can leave now and I understand if you want to reject me". What the f**k Is She talking about. I can feel my wolf getting restless hearing what our mate just said. I grabbed her by her chin firmly but gently, not wanting to hurt her.
" I can never reject you, little mate. alive waited for you for a long time" I said to her. Tears filled her eyes and heart broke. I hate seeing my mate like this.
" Don't cry, mate" she cried until she fell asleep in my arms. I lay her down on the bed and mind linked Xander.
' I want you to find out about Lila's former pack and the Alpha.'
'Yes Alpha'
I looked at the beauty who was sleeping and I promised myself I will protect her with my life. A loud noise came from outside my chambers. Lila stirred in her sleep and I want to kill whoever is making that noise. I opened the door and closed it gently.
" Babe, tell your guards to let me go," Scarlet said. Scarlet was chosen by the elders since I hadn't found my mate at that time. When an Alpha reaches 25 and hasn't found his mate he is expected to choose a mate. I never liked her. I was about to say something but her voice stopped me.
