MAYA
"Maya…" She started on a very solemn note. Her eyes were expressing so much yet I didn't understand even a bit. But I knew one thing, it was happening because of me.
"I guess Desmond didn't tell you yet." She added.
"You're scaring me." I replied and she shot me a smile, one that didn't live to see the next second.
"It's complicated Maya. Things happened in your absence." She said, "All I can tell you for now is that whatever Desmond did, was to save you and him."
I wriggled my head.
"Why? How is this saving? Because of me he's going to lose big time."
She sighed.
"Yeah he is. But it was all for the best. As long as he keeps bearing the Hunters name, it's only going to cost him more and more suffering. So yeah, Desmond is no longer part of The Hunter Family. He left."
