Its one thing to be told you look gorgeous and even have people out rightly stare at you the moment you step out of the car outside the diner. But it’s certainly heart-crushing that the one person you hoped would notice seemed completely oblivious to it. How could he not notice I had make-up on today? Or that I made an effort to dress up?
