I’d forgotten what it was like to dress up for anything. As I stood in front of the dressing mirror, staring at myself, I couldn’t help the nerves taking control of me. Sure, Palmer had complimented my make-up, which was a bit plain by the way. She’d even gone ahead to claim I’d done a better job that she’d expected.
