CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE AVA’S POV There was an awkward silence on the breakfast table and only Knox seemed oblivious to it, constantly asking his father about going to the park with him. I was quite undecided and yet afraid at the same time. It was a strange feeling and it disturbed me to a great deal. A normal person wouldn’t even have to decide. “Mummy,” Knox tagged at my hand, tearing my attention from where I was mindlessly playing with my fork.
