Chan's POV
It's been two days since we had fun. I'm on my way to pick up Jasmine right now. To tell you the truth, that party was a blast! Hangovers make your head hurt, while hangovers with friends fill it up.
Today is a special day for James since he'll meet his blind date. We have no idea how the two new girls will appear, but it doesn't matter to us. Sam and Max said their two new girls are stunning, and their friend Nicole agreed to the blind date. James isn't picky, so as long as that girl is particularly nice, everything is fine. Sam also told us in our group chat that she showed our images and names to their two new girlies.
I got at my location, where Jas and I were supposed to meet, but she was nowhere to be seen, so I decided to contact her.
"Hello? Who is this?" Jas said on n the other end of the line.
"What the f*ck are you talking about?" I said and couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Oh Chan?" Jas said with an astonished expression.
"Yes, it's me. You haven't saved my phone number despite the fact that we've been friends for years?!" I chastise her.
"I'm sorry" She said in a sarcastic tone.
I can picture her rolling her eyes right now.
"Whatever. Where are you, by the way?" I asked.
"Please wait for me; I'm going to buy rose petals. I'll be there right away." She said on the other the line.
"Okay. Make sure to save my phone number or else-" "I made a threat to her.
"And if not, what?" She spoke in a monotonous tone.
"Otherwise, you'll have to walk your way to Daniel's Bar." I stated and immediately hung up.
10 minutes have passed and she hasn't arrived yet. I'm curious to see how the two new girls look like. I shoved my thoughts aside when I heard a knock on my car window. I rolled my car window down, refusing to let her in.
"So, what now? You're not letting me in?" She stated while rolling her eyes at me.
"Phone please." I stated and forced her to hand over her phone to me.
"I have your phone number saved!" She exclaimed irrationally.
"Let me have a look," I said.
"Ugh, fine!" exclaims the speaker. She yelled in disbelief and handed me her phone.
I was shocked when I first saw her homescreen.
"ISN'T THIS LUCAS ? THE DJ?!" I asked her with a surprised tone in my voice.
"Yes. And so what?" She responded with a question.
"You're dating him, aren't you?" I stated while teasing her.
"We went out on a date, but we're." She explained.
This girl is really unbelievable. I swear, our mother, I mean Jasmine, will have a boyfriend in a week.
I looked through the contact list and saw my phone number, but not my name.
"Really?!" I stated in disbelief.
"What?!" She asked in annoyance.
"Don't pick up." I said in a monotonous tone.
"Oh! I apologize for the mistake. I can't seem to remember your name." She teased me with her words.
She did save my phone number, but it was labeled "Don't pick up." Great, absolutely great.
I returned her phone back and I unlocked the car door for her.
She sighed and murmured, "Finally."
"You're a total b*tch." I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" She asked in surprise.
"Yeah. Is it only girls that roll their eyes?" I said cynically.
"No, but it's the first time I've ever seen a boy roll his eyes." She burst out laughing.
I rolled my eyes again, just like she did when she looked at me.
"Now it's the second time."
She's now laughing like a goat because of what I said.
My eardrum is about to rupture, so I start driving and hope she stops laughing.
Unknown's POV
"We met again, my love." While scrolling through their pictures together, a tear welled up in her eyes.
"I missed you." She murmured in the air.
Chan's POV
We finally made it to Daniel's bar. After I rolled my eyes at her, Jasmine continued to chuckle. I should probably get my ears checked after this.
When we walked into the bar, we saw Daniel mixing drinks and Tristan setting up the karaoke.
"Finally. Help me with these drinks, bro." Daniel asked for assistance.
"You'd better start moving before James shows up." Tristan commented.
"Yes, sir." I said cruelly.
"Wait, where are Sam and Max?" Jasmine asked.
"Sam is in the company of Max. I suppose they're preparing themselves?" Tristan responded.
"Oh okay. But who's going to assist me in setting up the table?" Jasmine questioned.
Someone entered the bar that made Jasmine smile. To tease Jasmine, Tristan, Daniel, and I faked to cough.
"Lucas in the house!!!" Daniel yelled.
"In case you didn't know, it's in the bar." Tristan said, paraphrasing Daniel's words.
"Whatever, smart guy," Daniel remarked sarcastically.
"Now that you've arrived, could you please assist Jasmine in setting up the blind date table?" I asked Lucas.
"Sure thing." Lucas stated and gave a sly grin.
"Hey, Lucas! Work, don't flirt." Daniel said.
"Got it boss!" Lucas responded.
Now something's getting awkward between Jasmine and Lucas.
"Get a room," Tristan stated.
"What?!" Jasmine asked.
"What I mean is that you should get a room for the blind date. You don't want to set the table right here in the middle, do you?" Tristan teased both Jasmine and Lucas with his words.
We all burst out laughing.
"Whatever." Jasmine commented as she rolled her eyes at Tristan.
Jasmine then goes out and grabs the necessary items for the blind date.
"Let's go, Lucas." Jasmine stated in a soft voice.
They both walked away from us after Jasmine left us shocked.
"Did you see that?" Daniel asked in shock.
"The switch of voice?" Tristan responded with a question.
"She rolled her eyes as if she was prepared to murder you, then switched her tone when she called Lucas!" I chuckled.
"The duality of mom." Tristan stated that made us burst out of laughter.
I went up to Daniel and offered to assist him in mixing the cocktails.
Samantha's POV
"Please hurry, Max! The two girlies are waiting for us!" I screamed.
"I'm here, I'm here, I'm here! Geez." Max said as she ran while fixing her sandals.
"I told you to get up early!" I exclaimed.
"Sorry. Me and Daniel finished at 2 ." She smirked as she said it.
"Wtf! Go to church!" I said while rolling my eyes at her.
"I'm kidding!" Max replied.
We went out of her house and then got into my car.
Maxine's POV
"Call Madisson." Sam stated while she's driving.
"All right, wait," I said.
I reached my phone on her board and dialed Madisson's number.
"Hello?" A gentle voice responded.
"Hello, Madi! Where are you right now? We're on our way to the Mall." I spoke.
"I'm with Nicole, and we're headed to the Mall as well." Madisson stated on the other line.
"Great! We'll meet you there in a few minutes. Bye!" I responded.
"Bye!" Madi then said and hanged up the call.
"Are they on their way?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, and she's with Nicole," I replied.
"Great!" Sam expressed her excitement at the prospect of meeting them.
I then texted Daniel, informing him that we're on our way to meet up Nicole and Madisson.
Chan's POV
"Max sent me a text message. They're on their way to pick up Nicole and Madisson." Daniel stated.
"Another team member has joined the squad! This is going to be a blast!" I remarked.
"You're right. So there will be 9 of us, right ?" Tristan questioned.
"Plus Lucas, that's ten. He may accompany us everywhere we go." I stated.
"What do you mean?" Daniel asked.
"Lucas and Jasmine are dating. However, Jas stated that they are not yet official." I spilled the tea.
"Woah! That was quick, our mom knows how to flirt, huh?" Tristan stated that made us laugh.
"She won't grow old alone!" Daniel commented that made us laugh even more.
"Can you tell me what you're laughing about?" We were all taken aback when a startling voice interrupted us.
"Nothing, everything's good." Daniel made an embarrassing remark.
Jasmine raised her one eyebrow, indicating that she has doubts about Daniel.
"Lucas!" Daniel yelled, avoiding eye contact.
"Yeah?" Lucas asked out of confusion.
"Let's go outdoors and smoke." "Daniel said as he walked away from us,"
They both left, leaving us three alone.
"So, what were you talking about earlier?" Jasmine asked.
"I'm going to call Sam and ask where they are right now," Tristan said then walked away from us.
Now it's just me and Jasmine alone. I'm doomed.
"Were you talking about me earlier?" Jasmine asked in a monotonous voice.
"No. It's all about the men, you know? Things that, uhm- shouldn't be talked about with a girl." I stated, not sure if she's gonna believe me.
"Oh, okay." She then exited the bar.
I breathed a sigh of relief. She was on the verge of getting me there.
