Noel The moment I stepped inside, I let out a long breath I didn’t even realize I was holding. The house was quiet—blissfully quiet—and that could only mean one thing: none of the brothers were home. A rare miracle. I dropped my bag on the couch and made a beeline for my room. Tonight was important, and the last thing I needed was their meddling. As soon as I was in my room, I locked the door. Not that it would stop them if they decided to barge in, but it was a small reassurance.
