Demon X: Seven Flowers of Sapphire

[ Paradox City - Destroyed ] In the destroyed city of Paradox, Xane sat on his knees, severely wounded in front of his mother’s dead body which was mounted up into the side of a building with swords impelled in her body. Xane has his head bowed as the blood from his mother drips on the ground, “T-tell me this is all just a dream.” Xane takes a look around at the destruction of the city, “This can’t be real.” Xane looks up at his mother with a devastating look, “First he takes my sisters away from me and then he takes you away from me. What more can he take from me? I’ve lost everything to him. I don’t know what he wants from me.” Xane looks down at his hands, “I can’t even seem to shed a single tear right now even though my heart is shattered to pieces.” Xane stands to his feet and floats up to his mother. Xane begins to remove the swords from his mother’s body, “You fought well out there mom. You fought strong up until the bitter end.” Xane removes the final sword from his mother’s body and catches her in his arms. Xane slowly descends to the ground while holding his mother, “Thousands amongst thousands dead and for what? I don’t know what he expects to gain from any of this. His intentions are a mystery to me.” Xane’s eyes begin to glow red as he covers his mother in a red aura. Xane’s mother’s body suddenly bursts into fiery rose petals and floats into the starry night sky. Xane is stunned by the beauty of the flowers, “Even in death…you shine brightly and beautifully. Farewell, mom, you can finally rest easy with no more pain or sorrow. I’m going to miss you…truly.” Xane sighs and turns around, “I suppose I’ll find shelter for the night. I’ve lost too much energy and sustained a serious amount of damage.” Xane then notices a huge stone beginning to move, “huh?” The stone is suddenly tossed aside and Aurora emerges from the rubble damaged. Aurora stumbles as she stands to her feet. Xane picks Aurora up by her neck while holding a blast in his hand. Xane looks enraged, “What the hell are you still doing here?!” Aurora carelessly looks at Xane, “If you’re going to kill me go ahead and get it over with already. I have no one and I’m tired. So do me a favor a rid me of all of this.” Xane looks at Aurora with a serious look of confusion, “I thought Lucifer left you for dead but it appears I was wrong.” Xane puts Aurora down. Aurora looks confused, “You had the chance to kill me and you didn’t take it. What’s wrong with you? Are you some kind of i***t or something?” Xane shrugs his shoulders carelessly, “I have no interest in killing someone who already wants to be killed. It defeats the purpose now get out of here and leave me be.” Xane turns his back to Aurora and proceeds to walk off. Aurora tilts her head slightly and grins exposing her long fangs, “Even though you’re the spitting image of Lucifer you’re nothing like him. Lucifer would’ve never spared an enemy.” Xane looks over his shoulder with an angered look and red glowing eyes, “I couldn’t give a damn about my father! Do you not see the amount of hell he has taken me through?! I want to kill the bastard so badly but I don’t know what it is that he’s planning. Let alone I have no way to get into Hell. He blocked me out.” Aurora chuckles lightly, “I can tell you really hate him deeply. But let’s say I was willing to help you get your revenge on your father?” Xane looks skeptical of Aurora, “And why would you do something like that? I don’t know you and you don’t know me. As far as I know…you and I are enemies.” Aurora nods her head in agreement, “true but just think about it. I know things that you don’t know. Such as what Lucifer is planning. We can be of use to each other. Xane folds his arms and sighs, “Even if we were to team up together…what’s the catch?” Aurora carelessly tosses her hands out, “It honestly isn’t much of a catch. I just want revenge on Lucy such as you do. You aren’t the only one who has suffered severely from his actions.” Xane looks skeptical of Aurora, “I don’t know if what you speak is the truth but I suppose I’ll have to take you up on it. I have no intentions of being your friend. We are allies and nothing more.” Xane extends his hand out, “Xane Morningstar.” Aurora grabs Xane’s hand and shakes it with a grin on her face, “Aurora Heatherstorm. It’s a pleasure to have me on board.” Xane looks at Aurora, “Let’s discuss everything elsewhere.” [ Heavens Palace ] Queen Zernia is sitting on the throne sipping tea as her butler Sebastian stands by her side. Queen Zernia takes a sip of her tea, “Ahh this is a fine cup of tea Sebastian.” Sebastian puts his hand on his chest and bows, “I’m glad it’s to your liking, your majesty.” Queen Zernia looks down at the guards, “has anyone of you spoken to Verax today? It’s unusual for him to report late to me.” A guard responds to Queen Zernia, “No ma’am. Should one of us go and fetch him for you?” Queen Zernia raises her hand, “No thank you. That won’t be necessary. Something must’ve come up and has him a little preoccupied at the moment.” The throne room doors begin to open as Verax pushes them open. Queen Zernia looks surprised, “What a coincidence. I was just asking about you Verax.” Verax kneels to Queen Zernia, “Forgive me your majesty for my tardiness. I’ve received the report that you’ve requested of me.” Queen Zernia sits up in her chair, “Proceed with the information. Were Lucifer and the others successful? Verax nervously looks up at Queen Zernia, “Lucifer and the others were successful in the disposal of Diamond. Lucifer also managed to obtain the girls.” Queen Zernia looks confused, “and the boy?” Verax looks down at the ground, “Before Lucifer could even think about grabbing the boy, Diamond had already cast the chains of Hell. Sending Lucifer and the others back.” Queen Zernia’s face flares up with anger, “You’re telling me those bastards weren’t capable of wiping out Diamond and her children?!” Verax looks up at Queen Zernia, “That isn’t the worse part. Lucifer also lost one of the Seven Demons of Genesis, Aurora.” Queen Zernia looks baffled, “What the hell did you just say? Those incompetent idiots! That’s why you don’t send feeble-minded beings to do such ridiculous tasks! They can’t do anything right!” Queen Zernia stands to her feet. Verax looks confused, “What do you plan on doing your majesty?” Queen Zernia looks down at Verax with a serious look, “I’m going to pay Lucifer a visit in Hell. Let’s go, Sebastian.” Sebastian responds, “As you wish your majesty.” Queen Zernia walks over to the throne room door with Sebastian. Verax stands to his feet, “What would you like for me to do?” Queen Zernia looks over her shoulder, “Continue to search through the Eternal Verse for the Seven Flowers of Sapphire. I expect all of the flowers to be founded by the time I get back, nothing less.” Verax bows to Queen Zernia, “as you wish.” Queen Zernia and Sebastian walk out of the throne room. Queen Zernia looks annoyed as she thinks to herself, “Damn that child of mines!” [ Abandoned building ] Xane and Aurora are camping out in an abandoned building. Xane is leaning up against a wall looking out a window at the full moon that shines brightly in the sky. Aurora is sitting on the stairs looking at Xane. Xane turns his attention towards Aurora, “So what is it that my father has up his sleeve?” Aurora looks at Xane seriously, “What do you do when you’re the son of the Demon King, Lucifer and the fate of the Eternal verse rests on your hands?” Xane looks confused, “What’s going to happen to the Eternal Verse?” Aurora responds, “Lucifer simply wants to destroy the Eternal Verse and rewrite time and history itself. Creating a reality of his own.” Xane begins to think to himself, “What could he possibly expect to gain from destroying the Eternal Verse? Wouldn’t the Heavens interfere with this?” Aurora looks confused, “Why would the Heavens interfere when they’re the ones helping Lucifer achieve his goal? You see Lucifer offered Queen Zernia her own reality once his plan is complete. So she’s just sitting back pulling strings until Lucifer gets what he wants.” Xane scoffs, “So she’s sunken so low as to believe the father of all lies? How pitiful can things get?” Aurora nods her head in agreement, “I totally agree with you. She should know by now that Lucifer doesn’t stick to his words. I had to learn that the hard way.” Xane looks at Aurora with a serious look, “Even if that is the case. Lucifer nor the Heaven’s have the power combined to destroy the Eternal Verse.” Aurora chuckles lightly, “Correct you are but Lucifer isn’t using his own power to destroy the Eternal verse. Have you ever heard of the Seven Flowers of Sapphire?” Xane looks confused, “Seven Flowers of Sapphire?” [ Hell’s Gates ] Queen Zernia and Sebastian are standing in front of Hell’s Gates. Queen Zernia looks serious, “Let’s get this over with already and get back to the palace.” Queen Zernia holds her hand out towards the gates blowing them open. She and Sebastian proceed to walk down the path to Hell.
