chapter 5 - The immortal Council

The immortal Council is formed of six immortals. Two who have managed to stay impartial through the centuries. Two from the good side and two from the dark side.

The councils regardless of their own belief is to guide and support other immortals who need guidance. On occasion there are questions that are brought up that immortals want to seek out and it falls down to the council to answer those questions.

The council was waiting patiently for Charlie to arrive so they could begin the meeting. Some of the council members couldn't fathom why after a century Charlie suddenly popped up from the wood work. Other council members started worrying why Charlie had called a emergancy meeting. All the council members could agree on one thing that Charlie calling a emergancy meeting couldn't be good news.

Charlie finally arrived at the council meeting and sat at the table quietly and waited to be addressed by the council.

One by one the council the council members started to introduce themselves which motioned to the beginning of the meeting.

Member one: Marcus

Member Two: Rebecca

council members from the good side

Member three : David

Member four : Hannah

council members from the dark side

Member five: Lucian

Member six: Mortisha

Once the council members had finished their introduction they handed the floor over to Charlie to answer for why he had called the emergancy meeting.

Charlie Over two centuries ago I was informed by this very council that the last time lou passed she wouldn't be reborn now as you know nearly a century ago I chose to live a life of solitude knowing she wasn't going to return again. Well today while running errands I saw a reborn version of lou but this time it wasn't the lou I remember.

All six council members looked at each other and for a while the room turned a awkward silent when suddenly one of the council members finally spoke.

Lucian Charlie I understand your concern but it's not unheard of the same person being reborn multiple times. That you are aware of. However it is rare but does happen that a reincarnated person may come back but have no memories or affiliations with the past meaning that she wouldn't be connected to you anymore but still may be part of the curse that still resides on us all.

David and hannah look at each other and then look at Charlie and Lucian before thinking of how best to touch the situation as they could see the emotion in Charlie's face and the reaction he's had this time.

David Charlie we think that you shouldn't rush into this lou character as we don't know anything about this reincarnation of her and as you said she hasn't got the same personality that lou had all the other times.

Hannah To back on to what David has said we don't even know if the curse still remains on her but giving time will allow the council to have a chance to investigate and find out what's going on and who she really is. This is because this could be a potentially harmful situation for not just you but every immortal there is.

Charlie Forgive my speaking out here but how can this be a dangerous situation for all the immortals that are about? it's not like she could remember anything as lou hadnt ever had memories of her past life's and every time I've met her in the past its been coincidental. A accident to how we bumped into each other so how could this be any different now?

Marcus I've stayed quiet and impartial through this whole meeting as have Rebecca but we have been listening and me and it is known that Rebecca has read all the ancient scripts and the curse that binds us many times and the one true reason we hide who we are and try to avoid detection is so a immortal hunter isn't reborn. over the last century we have done well to avoid this happening but we don't know if lou coming back with a different personality but being a look alike is nature's way of trying to eradicate our existence and the council are best to equipped to deal with this but we will have to find out what we are dealing with first.

Charlie how long will it take for the council to investigate this and when will I know if its safe to try and approach her properly?

the council members joined hands to make their final ruling before closing the council as they felt all questions had been answered in high detail given the risks that came with Charlie having the knowledge he now has.

bounded council members As the council members had now joined hands they all spoke as one the council is getting ready to close the meeting.

The council finally spoke We the immortal Council strongly advise Charlie to forget and move on from lou as this new reborn lou holds risk for any immortal out there. The council will investigate this lou and decide the risk she holds if Charlie does approach her.

The defiance of the councils sentence for Charlie will be imprisonment for this wouldn't be the first time known to the council for defiance and we believe with then risks involved defiance this time will need to be punished.

do you Charlie agree to this ruling with everything you know?

Charlie I do not agree to this ruling but for the sake of all immortals I will follow and abide by this ruling. I do understand the risks and why the ruling is in place I agree to not ingadge with lou or lous look alike until the council have advised further.

The council satisfied with Charlie's answer unlinked remembering the words they spoke as one. they one by one stood up and left the room ensuring all trace of the meeting was gone and ensuring that no one else found out about what had gone on today.
