Benny’s POV
Hazel appears moments later, plates stacked up her arms, the large collection unexplainably balancing in a way that only a seasoned waitress can master.
‘OK, let’s see if I can guess who wanted what’ she muses, glancing around the kids as they giggle again.
Her attention falls to Tanner, ‘you have to be the pancakes with sprinkles’ she states, the little boy nodding excitedly as she slides the plate in front of him. ‘Chocolate chip pancakes . . .’ she continues, looking between Austin and Liberty who both try their hardest not to give away who ordered. ‘You’ she declares, the plate landing in front of Austin who gasps in awe.
‘How did you know?’ he asks.
Hazel laughs, ‘don’t tell anyone, but . . . I’m magic’ she whispers before winking at him, the little boys eyes widening
