Daisy’s POV The candy store and butchers are both closed, but at least Betty’s window is now fixed. Callan’s friend came yesterday morning and had a new pane fitted in no time, so at least now the street doesn’t look like it’s heading toward being derelict anymore. I’m just handing Laurence an order from our early morning visitors, when I hear a shout from the front. The two of us look at each other before we both sprint for the door, pushing through to find the few customers I have, piling out of the door. ‘What is it? What happened?’ I shout, but no one answers me.
